Walking Club
Part 1:

1. What is the weather like today? It’s raining cats and dogs.

2. What is your favorite time of the year? I love summer.

3. What do you do in your free time? I usually listen to music.

4. What is your favorite sport? Badminton is my favorite sport.

5. Which place would you like to visit in your country? It is Da Lat city.

Part 2: Where and when do you like to walk?

I usually go for a walk in the park near my house after finishing my work in the
afternoon. The atmosphere there is always fresh and comfortable.

Part 3:

A: I usually go for a walk. Do you like walking?

Absolutely, I’m really into walking. After working hard at my company, I

usually go home, change the dress code, and call my neighbor to go for a walk.
This activity helps me release my stress and feel relaxed. It is also good for my
health.

B: I like walking but when it rains I get wet. Tell me about a time you
had a bad experience while hiking.

I usually go for a walk near my house but one day, I decided to change a place.
I walked to a place far from my house. It suddenly rained but I forgot to bring
an umbrella. As a result, I got wet and caught a cold.

C: Walking is the best form of exercise. What do you think when many
people walk and know it's good for their health?
I completely agree with this opinion. Walking is not only good for your health
but also keeps you fit. After working hard hours, your body and your mental
health are exhausted, so they need to be refreshed. Walking is a good choice to
improve that.

Part 4: PHIÊN BẢN 1

Dear member,

As club members know. The club will organize a 2-week walking tour through
European countries. Some members' opinions differ on this issue. What do you
think, please give your opinion or suggestion about this plan?

1. Write an email to your friend. (50 từ)

Dear Tu,

Are you fine these days? We haven’t contacted each other for a long time. Hope
everything goes well with you. I have joined a walking club for 5 months. Our
club has planned to organize a two-week tour across European countries. I think
this is fantastic news, but some members said that it was unrealistic and quite
hard to do. What do you think? Can you give me some suggestions to support
my club’s plan?

Hugs,

Lam.

2. Write an email to the manager of the club (120 - 150 từ).

Dear Sir,

My name is Do Tung Lam and I have been a member of the walking club for 5
months. I’m writing this letter to express my feelings and my suggestions for
the announcement that I have received from our club recently.

According to the news, our club is planning to organize a two-week tour across
European countries. Honestly, I think that is so amazing and I felt excited when
I heard about it. In my opinion, the plan would connect members together
during a journey. However, perhaps there will be some difficulties in
implementing this schedule. Because of long distances and different weather,
we can not be sure of our members' health. Therefore, we need to design a
schedule that works for everyone and thoroughly prepare our luggage.

I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep members satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

Yours faithfully,

Do Tung Lam.

PART 4: PHIÊN BẢN 2

Currently, at walking clubs, there is a phenomenon of many pedestrians not

paying attention and using their phones while walking on the street. The club
wants members to give their opinions and suggestions on this issue.

1. Write an email to your friend.

Dear Tu,

Are you fine these days? We haven’t contacted each other for a long time. Hope
everything goes well with you. I have joined a walking club for 5 months.
Recently our club has had a situation where there are many pedestrians who are
not concentrating and use their phone while walking. I think that is so serious
and I will email the manager of the club to express my opinions. Can you give
me some suggestions to solve my club’s problem?

Write back,

Hugs,

Lam.

2. Write an email to the manager of the club.

Dear Sir,

My name is Do Tung Lam and I have been a member of the walking club for 5
months. I’m writing this letter to express my feelings and my suggestions for
the notice that I have received from our club recently.

According to the news, recently, our club has had a situation where there are
many pedestrians who are not concentrating and use their phones while
walking. I think the problem is quite serious and I felt nervous when I heard
about it. Easily seen, this action is so dangerous, especially if they are crossing
the street. They can get injured by vehicles that are moving on the street. In my
opinion, we should give some talks and show some videos about the harms of
using phones while walking to raise people’s awareness. Besides, we should set
the club’s rules and whoever breaks it will be severely fined.

I hope that my suggestions are useful for you to keep members satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

Yours faithfully,

Do Tung Lam.

Photography Club
Part 1: You want to join a photography club. Fill in the form. Use 1 – 5 words.
1. Where are you from?
I am from Vietnam.
2. What’s the weather like today?
It is sunny.
3. What do you do in your free time?
Watch action movies.
4. First language?
Vietnamese.
5. Who do you usually go to the movies with?
My best friend.
Part 2: You are a new member of a photography club. Fill in the form.
Write in sentences. Use 20 – 30 words.
What is your favorite time and place to take pictures?
I usually spend my weekends arriving in mountainous areas to take a lot of
beautiful and memorable pictures. Especially, I prefer to visit the mountains in
autumn because the natural scenery and weather are fabulous in autumn. I can
enjoy fresh air and take a large number of photos of animals, special plants, and
traditional costumes of people who live in high mountains.
Part 3: You are a member of a photography club. You are talking to three other
members in the photography club chat room. Talk to them using sentences. Use
30 – 40 words.
A: Hi! Welcome to the club. What is your favorite photo?
Hello, glad to talk to you. I really like a picture presenting a waterfall in Cao
Bang province. I saw it last month at my friend's house. The majestic and
fabulous scenery in that picture made a strong impression on me.
B: Hi! What kind of photos do you like to take?
Hi. I am a big fan of the World’s natural beauty so all the pictures that I took
are of natural scenery. I usually take photos of sunrise and sunset on the sea,
waterfalls in forests, ripe rice fields, and so on. I love to see beautiful nature in
the world.
C: Is it good to take pictures with the phone?
In my perspective, taking pictures with the phone is convenient for people. The
phone is smaller and easier to carry than a camera so you can take photos or
save memorable moments quickly anytime and anywhere. With modern and
high-quality phones, you also have high-resolution photos as a camera.
Part 4: You are a member of a photography club. You received this email
from the club.
Dear member,
Our club is organizing an exhibition to show people’s best photos. We will have
a talk. Please give some suggestions to attract all ages to join.

Email 2:
Dear Sir,
My name is Nguyen Thi Hoai and I have been a member of the Museum Club
for two years.
I am writing this email to express my feelings and offer several suggestions for
our club’s plan. According to the announcement, our Museum Club is planning
to collect tickets from passengers to have more money to repair and pay for the
carers. To be honest, I think this plan is wonderful and I totally agree with this
plan. From my perspective, we should collect from the visitor a low fee to
access which helps us with the repair and maintenance cost. Besides,
Sometimes we can organize awards events for outstanding works to attract more
participants. Moreover, we can open a small shop selling souvenirs for visitors
so that the carers may have a better income.
Hopefully, my suggestions will be useful for you. I am looking forward to
hearing from you.
Best regards,
Nguyen Thi Hoai.

2. Phiên bản 2
Dear members,
From next year, all museums will charge an entrance fee. Some people think
that if they have to pay a fee, they will stop going. Please give your opinion and
tell the effect that may happen.

4. Write an email to the manager of the club. Write about 120 - 150

How are things with you?
I am writing to let you know about some news from the Museum Club that all
the museums will charge an entrance fee. Can you give me some of your
feelings about this topic?

Dear Sir Quan,

I hope this email finds you well. My full name is Vi Thi Minh Huyen and I have
been a member of the club since July.
I am writing this email to express my feelings about your latest notice.
According to the news, our Museum club will charge an entrance fee.
According to the announcement, some people will stop going to the club if they
have to pay a fee. To be honest, I felt confused when I heard the news. I think
we should hold a meeting to discuss this problem. Besides, we should have a
standard fee for everyone to pay.
I am very happy to hear from you if there is any news.
Best regards,
Vi Thi Minh Huyen.

Travel Club
Part 2: Why are you interested in travel?

I am keen on traveling as I love going out to discover the beauty of the world,
meeting new friends, and visiting wonderful places.

Part 3:

A: Tell me a time you had a trip in bad weather.

Last summer, I had a trip with my family to Dalat. However, it was the rainy
season at that time, so it rained cats and dogs throughout our trip. We had to
stay at our hotel most of the time and couldn’t visit anywhere. That trip was
kind of boring and terrible for us.

B: Traveling a long distance by some means of transportation is not good

for the environment. Do you agree?

I agree with the statement that using several means of transportation to travel a
long distance can cause some negative effects on the environment. Firstly, the
vehicle will release lots of carbon dioxide that causes air pollution. Secondly,
people can throw trash out of their way which pollutes the environment.

C: What are the most interesting places to visit in your country?

My family has various picturesque places, but I suggest you visit Halong Bay.
Ha Long Bay was recognized as one of the seven wonders of the world by
UNESCO because of its natural and poetic scenery.

D: What is the most exciting journey you’ve been on?

The most exciting journey that I’ve been on is my 4 days-3 nights trip to
VungTau. Although the time was quite short, I still had enough time to visit the
most picturesque destinations and try all the delicious local food there.

E: Can you remember the first time you went on a journey by yourself?
What was it like?

At present, the memory of my first journey on my own is still vividly engraved

in my mind. It was a beautiful day with light wind and warm sunlight. I was so
excited to have that trip around my village with my bicycle. Everything was
peaceful and mesmerizing and I could never forget.

Part 4: “Dear members, Our club is planning to encourage tourists to visit

an area. We also want visitors coming to our areas to behave politely.
Please raise your voice and give some suggestions for this plan.”

1. Write to your friend and share your suggestions.

Dear Nhi,

How are you these days? I haven’t seen you since the last meeting in our travel
club that we have joined together. I hope everything goes well with you. Did
you receive the email from our club? They have just sent me an email to
announce that they are going to plan to encourage tourists to visit the area. I am
so excited about this plan and have been waiting for months. I think the club
should advertise the destination on social media so that people can follow and
take part in (IT). They also can make a list of rules about polite behaviors first
for visitors while coming to the area. Do you have any recommendations for
this event? Make sure you write back.

Love,

Thanh

2. Write to the president of the club and give your suggestions.

Dear Ms. Hathaway,

I hope this reaches you in the best of ways. My name is Thanh Tran and I am
writing this email with regard to expressing my feelings and suggestions for the
announcement that I have received.

According to the notification, our club is going to plan to encourage visitors to

visit an area. I was so excited when I heard it as I had been waiting for this
event for months. I am willing to share some proposals for our club to make this
plan more attractive.

From my perspective, I recommend our club advertise the destination on our

club’s website and Facebook so that people can follow and join. In the
advertisement, you can introduce special features of that area, such as beautiful
sceneries, historical places, or scrumptious local food in order to make tourists
more excited about the trip. About how to make visitors behave politely when
coming there, our club can make a list of polite behavior rules and instruct
everyone before the trip. Therefore, people will know what they should and
should not do to be elegant.

I am looking forward to your prompt reply.

Yours Sincerely,

Thanh Tran.

4. What do you like to do in your free time? Swimming tops my favorite list.
5. How do you get here? I drive my car.
Part 2: When was the last time you read a book and how was the book?
The last time I read a book was last week when I had a relaxing time after the
final semester. The book’s article is “Find the Way to the Ocean” and it shows a
lot of effective methods for us to find ourselves.
Part 3:
William: I like reading sports magazines. Do you like it? Why?
Oh, I am not a big fan of sports so sports magazines are not my favorite kind of
books. I am quite interested in detective stories and I can imagine I am a crime-
solver.
Baifern: I have a daughter. She is not keen on reading anything. Can you give
me some advice?
On the one hand, maybe, you should try finding some books that align with
your daughter’s interests or introducing her to engaging stories. On the other
hand, you can consult experts’ opinions to make reading a fun and bonding
activity.
Maidavika: Children nowadays prefer playing games to reading books. Do you
think this is worrying, why?
I do not think it is bad or toxic for children. It is essential to strike a balance.
Instead of forbidding your children from playing games, you can mix those
activities to ensure a well-rounded development, including both reading and
gaming.

Part 4:
The club received an email about a new library and we need to brainstorm the
design of this library to appeal to both young and old.
1. Write to a friend. (50 words).
Hi Chi,
How’s it going?
I have exciting news for you. The club got an email asking us to brainstorm the
design of a new library to appeal to both young and old. Now, I feel so
confused.
Let’s catch up soon and brainstorm together.
Your friend,
My.
2. Write to the manager of the club. (120 words).
Dear Miss,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Dinh Tra My and I have been a
member of the Reading Club for two years.
I am writing to express my feelings and give my suggestions about your
previous email. According to the announcement, the club received an email
about the establishment of a new library. To ensure its success, it's crucial that
the design appeals to both our younger and older members.
From my perspective, I propose organizing a brainstorming session where we
can gather ideas and preferences from various age groups. This will help us
create a space that fosters a love for reading and learning for everyone.
Additionally, we should consider incorporating modern technology to enhance
the overall library experience.
I'm excited about the potential of this project and believe it will greatly benefit
our members.
Best regards,
Dinh Tra My.

4. What do you eat for lunch?

5. What do you love the most?

Part 1:

1.Ryan tops my favorite list.

2. I think it is Chinese.

3. About three hours a day.

4. I often eat fried rice.

5. My mother.

Part 2:

Describe the area that you live in.

In general, the area where I live is so peaceful and safe. Besides, the living cost
there is not too high for me who is a final-year student with a part-time job to
pay.

Part 3 :

A: Tell me something about your childhood home.

My childhood home is a 3-story house with a beautiful

garden behind it. My parents use the first floor for the food store. The second
and the third floors are arranged for all family members.

B: Which do you prefer living in, the country or the city, and why?

I prefer living in the city for some reasons. First, my city provides me with
many services and amenities I can not find in the country. On the other hand, all
my best friends there always support me in life.

C: The benefits of living in the city.

As I said, living in the city has lots of benefits. Most universities are located in
cities so there are more job opportunities. Besides, buying everything online in
cities is possible, which is much harder to do in rural areas.

Part 4 :

Dear member,

Currently, there are many young families who want to buy a house or an
apartment. The club wants the members to make suggestions to help them find
homes. Can you contribute your ideas?

Hi An,

I hope everything goes well with you.

I am writing to let you know some news that the club sent me yesterday.
According to the announcement, many young families desire to buy a house or
an apartment, and the club wants us to give suggestions to support them. Can
you give me some of your ideas?

Drop me a line soon.

Email 2:

Dear Sir,

I hope this email finds you well. My full name is Bui Phuong Nga and I have
been a member of the Home Living Club for nine months.

I am writing to express my feelings and give my suggestions regarding the most

recent email I received yesterday. According to the announcement, many young
families desire to buy a house or an apartment at present.

It is undeniable that most young families are in need of finding their own homes
to ensure stability but it is not easy to find suitable ones. From my perspective,
it is necessary to hold a meeting with the topic “Housing Shortage Problem”
and invite a real estate agent to come and share with them. In addition,
Facebook groups should be set up for members to share house-coming tips with
others.

I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

Best regards,

Bui Phuong Nga.

and sympathize with each other. Furthermore, it makes me feel comfortable, relaxed
and reduce stress.
Part 3: You are a member of a book club. You are talking to three other members in
the book club chat room. Talk to them using sentences. Use 30 – 40 words.
A: Hi! Nowadays, there are many ways to update news. How do you keep up with
world issues?
Hi. I usually read online newspapers every morning after waking up and always watch
the news at 7 p.m to update the latest domestic and international news. Besides, I
follow official pages that talk about hot issues of society on facebook.
B: I am going to join a debate in front of 50 people next week. How can I make a
good impression?
I suggest that you do whatever you feel comfortable like wearing your favorite clothes
or shoes. Besides, you need to have confidence and prepare what you need to say on
that day at home. Furthermore, it might be a good idea that you can speak loudly and
clearly.
C: Before making a decision about something, you should consider two sides of
the problem. What do you think about that?
I totally agree with this issue. In my opinion, everything has two sides, the good and
the bad side. Therefore, I need to be very calm, usually look and think carefully before
making even a small decision. That helps me a lot because it minimizes errors in my
decisions.
Part 4: You are a member of a debate club. You received this email from the
club.
We want to encourage many young people to join the club, unfortunately, young
people usually think that debating is not for them. What do you think is the benefit of
debating and speaking in public? Please two benefits that you think are the most
important and why?
1. Write an email to your friend who is also a member of the club. Write about
how you feel and what you think the club should do. Write about 50 words.
Hi Phuong,
How have you been? Hope things are all good with you. Have you heard the news that
our club is preparing to hold a discussion about the advantages of debate learning to
recruit new members? I was so excited when hearing the news because it will attract a
lot of young people to join the club. I am going to send an email to the manager of the
club to give some recommendations. It good (WOULD) be amazing if you could share
your opinions with me. What do you reckon? Keep in touch. See you soon.

Linh.

Dear Sir Kien,
My name is Nguyen Thao Linh and I have been a member of this club since 2020. I
received an email from our club that the club is preparing to hold a discussion about
the advantages of debate learning to recruit new members. I am writing in response to
your email about the news and I would like to give some opinions.
To be honest, I was very excited when I heard about the news because I have expected
it for a long time. I think this is an excellent opportunity for all club members to show
their eloquence and enhance their public speaking skills.
Therefore, I would like to give some recommendations. In my opinion, the benefit of
debating and speaking in public is building confidence and expressing their ideas
eloquently. Furthermore, I think the benefits of debating are not limited to the skills
built while we are speaking, the preparation for competition teaches critical thinking
and research skills.
Hopefully, my suggestions would be helpful for you. I look forward to receiving an
early reply.
Yours faithfully,
Nguyen Thao Linh.
MUSIC CLUB
Part 2 : Please tell us about the last time you listened to music . Write in

The last time I listened to music was yesterday at 7p.m. I often listen to music to

I feel tired . So I listen to music every day and I listen to it whenever I have free
time .
B : I plan to give my son music lessons but he doesn't like it . What should I
do ?
I think everyone has their own preferences and we should respect that . So if
your son doesn't like music lessons you give , you should find out what your
son's hobbies are and then nurture and develop his interests .
C : Do you agree that music is important in culture I completely agree with this
opinion . As you know , each country has its own typical music and it partly
shows the culture of those countries . You can even learn about different
cultures through their music .

Long time no see ! How are you ? I hope you are still fine . I'm writing to let
you know about a situation in my music club . The neighbor who lives nearby
the club's concert venue complains about the noise in the evening . I'm confused
when I heard about the news . Do you think we should come together to find
other alternatives to overcome this problem ? Tell me what you think ?
Your friend ,
Nguyen .
Dear Sir ,
My name is Pham Sy Nguyen , I have been a member of a music club for 8
months . I am writing this email to express my feelings about the matter of
organizing our club's concert .
To be honest , I feel disappointed about the way you manage the club . Because
many times the neighbors have been discontented to hear the noise of our music
shows in the evening .
To make issues better , I would recommend some suggestions . One alternative
is that you can rent another venue for the concert . I know a very large venue
not far from here , and suitable for my club . People around will not be bothered
with noise . Another one is that you should consider raising membership fees to
hold concerts in the morning or afternoon , to avoid affecting the neighbors . I
believe that a lot of members have the same suggestion as me . Looking forward
to hearing from you soon if my recommendations are acceptable .
Yours faithfully ,
Pham Sy Nguyen

COMPUTER CLUB
Part 2: When and where do you use a computer?

I normally study online on a computer at home from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the evening, I use my
laptop to entertain myself by watching movies and listening to music.

Part 3:

Q1: My grandmother doesn’t know how to use the computer. Your solutions

I think computers have many complicated functions. Therefore, you should teach your
grandmother basic computer skills, such as typing and accessing the internet. Additionally, you
can help her sign up for a computer course for the elderly.

Q2: The last time you used your computer. Your purpose.
The last time I used my laptop was yesterday. I I have compiled materials to prepare for the
upcoming exam. After finishing the assignment, I used it to watch a movie and listen to music.

Q3: Nowadays people use computers a lot. This is not good. Your opinion.

It is true that computers are widely used in every aspect of people’s lives, such as work, study,
and entertainment but humans seem to be overly dependent on them. They gradually lose their
creative potential and become less active.

Part 4: The club has a plan to adjust our website in order to attract more members. Your
feelings and suggestions

think? Write back soon.

Q2:

Dear Sir,

to express my feelings and give some suggestions for our club.

According to the notice that I have received, our club has a plan to adjust the website in order to
attract more members. I find this plan excellent because our member recruitment is approaching.
In my opinion, the club can hire web programmers to upgrade our website because they are
professional in that field and can do the task effectively. Moreover, we should conduct a survey
to find out what people need and expect from a website, and then make changes to meet the
demand of the vast majority of users. There are some of my suggestions.

I look forward to your prompt reply.

Yours faithfully,

Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh

FOOD CLUB
Part 2: What did you eat for breakfast?

Bạn đã ăn gì cho bữa sáng?

I often have breakfast with broken rice, Pho, and Bun Bo because it provides
more energy to work more efficiently. Sometimes, I enjoy a cup of coffee and
eat bread.

sao? Khi bạn bận rộn, bạn thường ăn gì?

Honestly, when I am stuck at work, I do not have time to cook. I usually go to

Chinese restaurants because I am a Chinese food lover. Besides, I am also
passionate about pizza because I find it delicious.

B: Is it important for children to participate in cooking courses at school?

The answer is yes. I think children should join cooking courses at school
because cooking is an essential skill. When people are hungry, they can make
many delicious dishes for themselves.

C: Should everyone know how to cook?

Yes. People must know how to cook especially when they need to follow a diet.
Therefore, they can control the ingredients put in their dishes. And, someday,

Part 4:

Dear members,

2. Formal Email

Dear Sir,
My name is Le Thi Hong Tham and I have been a member of the Food Club for
two years.

I am writing this email to express my feelings and offer numerous recommendations

for the club’s plan. According to the announcement, our club will have a plan that
encourages juveniles to cook at home. To be honest, I think this plan is awesome. I
felt excited when I heard the news. From my perspective, we should hold a meeting
that invites Thanh Van Chef, who is famous in my country. She has a lot of
knowledge to share with everyone. In addition, we should organize many cooking
courses with low tuition so youngsters can join cooking courses. It is a wonderful
chance for the youth to learn how to cook delicious dishes.

Hopefully, my suggestions will be useful for you. I am looking forward to hearing

from your response.

Best regard,

Le Thi Hong Tham.

Food Club (Đề 2)

Part 2: What did you eat for breakfast?

I enjoyed a bowl of beef noodles, which is a traditional Vietnamese food. It is so

tasty and delicious. I usually eat it at a restaurant near my office before going
to work.

Part 3:

A: Nowadays, lots of people order pizza instead of cooking by themselves

when they are busy. What about you? When you are busy, what do you
usually eat?

From my perspective, fast food is now really popular in the modern world for
some reasons. Firstly, it’s very convenient because they can save time making
dinner after a hard working day. Secondly, a pizza is usually much cheaper
than homemade meals.

B: Is it important for children to participate in cooking courses at school?

I think it is worth doing that. If children learn how to cook, they could be
independent and take care of themselves. Moreover, family members will bond
more when they prepare meals together.
Part 4:

Dear members,

Our food club is planning to encourage young people to cook at home. Can
you give some suggestions and explain them?

1. Write an email to a friend.

Dear Tu,

Are you fine these days? We haven’t contacted each other for a long time. Hope
everything goes well with you. I have joined a food club for 5 months.
Nowadays, more and more young people are not interested in cooking at home,
so my club wants us to give some advice to encourage them. Can you give me
some suggestions to solve my club’s problem?

Write me back,

Love,

Lam.

2. Write an email to the manager.

Dear Sir,

My name is Do Tung Lam and I have been a member of the food club for 5
months. I’m writing this letter to express my feelings and my suggestions for
the announcement that I have received from our club recently.

According to the news, I am so sad because fewer and fewer young people are
into cooking by themselves at home. But fortunately, our club cares about that.
It would be great if you could consider my recommendations. First of all, I think
we should invite professional chefs to share some tips for learning to cook
easily. Besides, we can give some talks about the benefits of knowing how to
cook and homemade food to raise people’s awareness. Another suggestion is to
organize a cooking contest for young people because the competition could
make them motivated to try their best.

My suggestions are useful for you to keep members satisfied.

I look forward to hearing from you if my recommendations are accepted.

Yours faithfully,

Do Tung Lam.

I am writing an email to express my feelings and suggestions regarding your previous
mail. According to the news, we will close the library next year because many people
prefer reading online books. To be honest, I am confused when I heard the
announcement because I prefer printed books. As a student like most members of the
Book Club, I think physical books always play an important role in education. On the
other hand, we can lunch a reading movement to encourage people back to love
printed books. I hope my suggestions will be taken into consideration. I look forward
to hearing from you soon if my recommendation is accepted.
Yours faithfully,
Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong.

ENGLISH CLUB
Part 2:
What do you usually use the Internet for? (Bạn thường sử dụng Internet để làm
gì?)
I frequently make use of the Internet to study English online by watching videos on
YouTube. Besides, I also work from home with my laptop which is connected to the
Internet.
*Thay “use” bằng “make use of” hiệu quả tăng điểm.
*Mệnh đề quan hệ với “which” hiệu quả tăng điểm.
Part 3: Write 30 – 40 words
A: I usually spend 6 hours a day studying English. How do you learn English?
(Tôi thường dành 6 tiếng mỗi ngày để học tiếng Anh. Bạn học tiếng Anh như thế
nào?)
Personally, it takes me about 2 hours a day to learn English. After going home from
work, I learn vocabulary by heart or listen to some English-language channels such as
BBC News, and VOA Learning English.
English.
*It takes me 2 hours a day to learn English = I spend 2 hours a day learning English,
B: English is a popular language in the world. What are your thoughts on this
idea?
I do think that English is a common language all around the world. Thanks to English,
people from other nations can easily connect with others. In addition, it is a decisive
factor to be a global citizen.
*Khuyến khích dùng liên từ “In addition”
C: When do you usually use English? (Bạn dùng tiếng Anh khi nào?)
I frequently speak English at work owing to my nature of work since I need to
communicate with foreign customers every day. At first, I felt so shy when I spoke
English but now, I get used to it.
Tôi thường xuyên sử dụng tiếng Anh trong công việc do tính chất công việc phải giao
* nature of work: đặc thù công việc, tính chất công việc
*get used to sth/Ving: quen với điều gì đó -> cụm tăng điểm

Dear members,
Nowadays more and more new words and phrases are added to the language, so many
people have strong reactions to this issue. Some people gladly accept others and argue
that there should be rules for language. Write a letter to your friend and the club
manager to express your views and explain why so many people react like this.

Dear Linh Dan,
How are things with you?
I am writing to let you know about some news from the English Club that there are
contrasting reactions to more and more words and phrases added to the language. Can
you give me some of your feelings about this topic?
Love,

2. Write an email to the organizer of the plan.

Dear Sir Quan,

I hope this email finds you well. My full name is Le Huyen Vu and I have been a
member of the club since July.
I am writing this email to express my feelings about your latest notice. According to
the news, our English club is discussing a hot topic. According to the announcement,
people have different reactions to more words and phrases added to the language.
I think the reason for that is some people find it difficult to learn more in a foreign
language. For me, I am always willing to absorb new things so it doesn’t matter.
I am very happy to hear from you if there is any news.
Best regards,
Tran Minh Huy.

Email 2
Dear Sir,
My name is Le Thi Hong Tham and I have been a member of the English Club for two
years. I am writing this email to express my feelings and offer several suggestions for
the club’s plan.
According to the announcement, our English Club will organize/hold a public
meeting. To be honest, I felt excited when I heard the good news. In my perspective,
we should find an open-air area such as a schoolyard, or a park to hold the meeting for
a lot of members of all ages to join in. Participants feel comfortable doing activities in
a large space. Moreover, I suggest the topic of the meeting should be “Traveling”
because we’re on summer holidays. It must be an exciting topic for everyone to share
their experiences.
Hopefully, my suggestions will be useful for you. I am looking forward to hearing
from you.
Best regard,
Le Thi Hong Tham.
