A RECIPE- CHICKEN LASAGNA

Chicken lasagna is a delicious variation of the classic Italian dish,

typically made with various combinations of ricotta or mozzarella
cheese, tomato sauce, meats (such as ground beef, pork or chicken),
and vegetables (such as spinach, zucchini, olives, mushrooms). Lasagna
is an especially popular dish from this pantheon of foods, one that is
filling, flavorful and flexible enough to be adapted into a number of
different approaches. The flavors meld together beautifully as the dish
bakes to perfection, creating a satisfying meal that's perfect for
gatherings or family dinners. With its rich and creamy texture, chicken
lasagna is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike.

INGREDIENTS-

For the chicken filling:

•2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

•1 onion, finely chopped
•2 cloves garlic, minced
•1 tablespoon olive oil
•1 teaspoon dried oregano
•1 teaspoon dried basil
•Salt and pepper to taste
•1 (24 oz) jar of marinara sauce or homemade tomato sauce

For the cheese sauce:

•4 tablespoons butter
•1/4 cup all-purpose flour
•2 cups milk
•1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
•Salt and pepper to taste

For assembling:
•9 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
•2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

PROCEDURE-

1) Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2) Bring a large pot of well salted water to boil and cook the noodles
until they are all done.

3) In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and
minced garlic, saute until softened.

4) Add cooked chicken to the skillet, along with dried oregano, dried
basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

5) Pour in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.

6) In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Once melted, add

flour and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes to make a roux.
Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from
forming.
7) Cook the sauce until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes, stirring
frequently.
8) Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted
and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
9) To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the cheese sauce on
the bottom of a baking dish.
10) Place three cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
11) Spread half of the chicken filling over the noodles, followed by a
layer of cheese sauce, and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
12) Repeat the layers: noodles, remaining chicken filling, cheese sauce,
and mozzarella cheese.
13) Finish with a final layer of noodles, remaining cheese sauce, and
shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
14) Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for
25 minutes.
15) Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until
the cheese is golden and bubbly.
16) Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
