For Word Perfect users.
1. Introduction
Initial word or phrase for searching in the lexical data base could
be typed by the user manually (after invocation of the program) or
copied from the screen. In calling (invoking) the dictionary, the
word pointed by the cursor is automatically transfered to the
dictionary for the searching.
If you have several lexical data bases for PG2, you can dynamically
switch between them.
- for working
with texts and lexical data bases including
Russian, English, Finnish, and Scandinavian
languages.
- for working
with texts and lexical data bases including
English, German, Scandinavian languages, and
also others compatible in terms of
the alphabet.
For example:
if you use CD drive D, type commands
>D:
>SETUP
(if you run this program under Windows environtment it will install
Windows-version of POLYGLOSSUM)
Installation programm ask you about directory to put the dictionary in,
about language of help, and about your monitor
(color or black ans white).
There are two text files which described dictionary files available
for POLYGLOSSUM: CD_DICTS.PG2 (dictionaries on CD-ROM) and
HD_DICTS.PG2 (dictionaries which had been installed on hard disk)
Setup will copy SET_DIC.EXE into POLYGLOSSUM's directory, so you can also
use SET_DIC.EXE late to copy dictionaries onto hard disk (or remove from
hard disk).
�) move the cursor to the word which you want to find in the dictionary
b) press the keys for calling the dictionary ( <Alt 1>, if not redefined,
see also Appendix 1.)
In order to unload POLYGLOSSUM (and free memory) run PG2.BAT with the
parameter "U":
>PG2 U
With a selected word from the alphabetical list, the PG2 program
finds all lines of the dictionary, containing this word. To do that,
press <Enter>. After that, the lines found are displayed in the
window.

Appendix 2.
Some programs, however, may use their own screen fonts and
interpret key strokes in a non-standard way during typing text.
In working with such programs, the POLYGLOSSUM program may not
work correctly.
