basically prepared with a choice of
vegetables like, mushroom, baby corn,
broccoli and cauli<ower which is deep fried
with plain <our and corn <our batter.

veg crispy chinese recipe with step by
step photo and video recipe. an ideal party
starter or can be used for light evening
snack which would be appreciated by all
age groups including kids. the taste and
texture is very similar to manchurian recipe
but has the extra crisp because of the corn
<our batter. once the veggies are deep fried
to crisp, it is then tossed with manchurian
sauce to get the extra tangy and spicy
taste.

i have shared quite a few street food from


indo chinese cuisine, but veg crispy is my
all time new favourite recipes. perhaps it
the extra crisp with this recipe could be
the primary reason, as there isn’t much
diSerence from the veg manchurian
recipe
recipe. also comparatively, veg crispy is
much easier to cook and prepare compared
to later. it is so addictive that trust you
would never end up with just one bite. my
Urst encounter with this recipe was last
month when i my husband organised a
surprise dinner party for me. initially i was
hesitant to try the crispy veg but i was
already in love with this recipe after my
Urst bite.

furthermore, some important tips and


recommendations for a perfect veg crispy
recipe . Urstly, you can use any choice of
dry vegetables for this recipe, but make
sure it is dry and wipe of any moisture
present. secondly, if you prefer to have
extra crispy, coat some corn <our to the
veggies before coating with the batter. this
would ensure the deep fried veggies would
end up having a crisp texture. Unally,
tossing the deep fried veggies in a
manchurian sauce is optional and you can
serve it plain tomato ketchup or sweet
chili sauce as veg tempura.

INGREDIENTS

1x 2x 3x

for batter:
¼ cup maida / plain <our / all-
purpose <our
½ cup corn <our
½ tsp pepper (crushed)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp vinegar
salt to taste
water as required

vegetables:
1 capsicum red and green (cubed)
3 baby corn (chopped)
2 mushrooms (cut)
10 gobi / cauli<ower (<orets)

other ingredients:
oil for deep frying
2 tsp oil
2 cloves garlic (Unely chopped)
1 green chilli (slit)
4 tbsp spring onion (chopped)
1 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
cde Urstly, in a large mixing bowl prepare
a <owing consistency batter.
ide now add in vegetables of your choice
and coat well with batter.
jde also deep fry in hot oil.
kde stir occasionally, till it turns crunchy
and slightly golden brown.
lde drain oS the vegetables on to the
kitchen towel and keep aside.
mde now prepare the sauce by heating up
oil.
nde add in 2 cloves garlic, 1 green chilli
and 2 tbsp spring onion.
ode saute on high <ame for a minute.
pde additionally, add 1 tbsp chilli sauce, 2
tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce
and salt to taste.
cqde mix well on high <ame till the sauces
gets combined well.
ccde now add in fried vegetables and give
a quick stir.
cide also add in chopped spring onions.
cjde Unally, serve veg crispy hot as a
starters or along with fried rice.
