Britain is a country in Europe and has serious environmental problem. In 1952, more than 4,000 people died in
London because of the smog. The government introduced new law to stop it from coal fires and factories and the
situation improved a lot.
Today, London is much cleaner but there is a new problem: smog from cars. In December 1991, there was very little
wind in London and pollution increased. As a result, 160 people died from pollution just four days.
Part of the problem is the new “out of town” shopping centres. In the past, people often walked to shops near their

Black Friday and Cyber Monday promote mindless consumption, excessive packaging and shipping waste,
especially with the rise of online shopping. The sales produce massive waste not just from the unwanted single-use
plastic and cardboard packaging, but also from the return of unwanted items. This mindset also ensures that the earth
overshoot day keeps moving back.
This is especially true of the clothing industry, where much of the online returns are tossed into the landfill
because the logistics and cost of putting the item back on the shelf are much too complicated. Britons throw away

The large movement of the earth under the water causes a very large and powerful tsunami. That tsunami was
called the Asian Tsunami in most of the world. It was called the Boxing Day Tsunami in England, Australia, South
