What is Tempo in Music?

music.

music.
• Music sounds may be slow or fast. This
is important in music because it gives
expression and meaning to a song or a
music piece.
• We respond to different kinds of tempo
by dancing, moving around, and by
being creative.
There are songs or music
pieces that are slow, and there
are also songs that are fast.
There may also be a
combination of slow and fast
sounds in one song or within
one music piece. This makes
music interesting and
expressive.
