A VISIT TO A DESERTED HOUSE

I walked down that path to school every day and always glanced at the deserted house. It
often caught my attention because of its creaking gate and the banging of the door at the end of the
path as the wind blew through the house. I never got the power to go inside alone so it always stays
mysterious to me. Moreover, legends say that the owner of the house killed his little son in here and ran
away, never to be found. So it is also told that the house is haunted by the kid’s ghost.
Last Sunday, my friend squad decided that we should go on a summer adventure. So it was
a golden opportunity for me to explore that area. Immediately, I told them about the deserted house
and they agreed. They decided to go at night, after dinner, to make to extra creepy.
The weather was very breezy and cool. It was unexpected during the middle of June. One of
my friends opened the rusty gates and walked inside, rest of us followed the lead. There were a few
armchairs and tea tables. There was dirty ceramic tea set on each table. The armchairs were moving
what seemed like due to the wind. The yard was covered by mud and some small plants.
We finally reached the door. The door was banging from inside which was a bit freaking.
My friend slowly opened the door but it didn’t open. It seemed to be locked from inside. We didn’t
expect that to happen. The wing was whistling and lightning bolts were seen shooting. One of my friend
recommended that it was not very safe to stay here for longer. So after shouting once at the door to
check if anybody was there, we left.
But the thing that we found the creepiest was that my friend was recording our whole
adventure and when we returned to check the recording, we found out that not only the recording was
totally a blackout but we also heard a few horrific sounds which seemed like a kid’s cry. This adventure
was one of the most terrifying adventures I’ve ever been to.
