The Creepy Man with the Weird Smile

It all started with me playing throw and catch with my friends Marie, Debbie and Pam. Our
parents went on vacation and it was only us alone with my Auntie May. She was always
sleeping so it was basically only us so we decided to play a game of throw and catch. We
were having fun playing until it started raining but we wanted to play one more, so I
chucked the ball over to my friend Debbie. It flew straight past Debbie and into my
neighbour’s glass window and made a huge sound. We all got scared and were worried that
if our parents would found out we would be dead. We decided to go to our neighbour’s
house to see if we can find the ball. We looked at the windows, but we couldn’t see which
one was broken so we decided to knock on the door. No one answered but after lots of
knocking, the door mysteriously opened by itself letting us in. We stepped in to check if
there was anyone inside but out of nowhere the door slammed behind us. We tried to open
it, but it had somehow locked. We had no escape. Our only choice was to go into the house,
so we went in. We started yelling “hello!? Is anyone home?”. No one answered. The house
was dead quiet until they saw an old man suddenly appear behind them. He had a very
weird smile and all his teeth were showing as he smiled. He said “Welcome!” and his
welcome echoed loudly in the house and it shocked us. We replied saying “Sorry we
intruded, we tried knocking but no one answered”. The man didn’t reply and kept very
oddly still while still smiling. We started walking towards the door and I tried to open it
again, but it was still locked. The old man suddenly exclaimed “No don’t go yet, we haven’t
had dinner”. We had no choice so we said “Okay”. Hours passed and we were still stuck in
the house little did we know that there was no way out. Once we finished our lunch, we
asked the man if we could go back home because our Auntie May must be worried sick. The
man bluntly said “No!”. We were confused so we ignored him and quietly got up and to the
door to try to unlock it but it wouldn’t open. We tried every door in the house but none of
them opened. We finally realised that the man intentionally locked all the doors. So we ran
and hid under the stairs. The man started walking down the stairs while we were silently
listening to his footsteps. The man came up from behind us and we looked back and saw the
man staring at us dead in the eyes with his same weird smile. We screamed and then ran
away to another room, we tried looking through the draws, but we found nothing. Then
suddenly we realised the room we didn’t check was the man’s bedroom, but we had no
nerves to go near that room. We also had no choice if we wanted to get out of there and we
needed to find a key. We opened the door very slowly not knowing what was about to
happen, just as we turned the doorknob, we heard the man’s footsteps coming closer and
louder. As soon as we closed the door behind us the man grabbed the doorknob to try to
open it but we quickly locked it from the inside. Once we were inside we searched the room
until we got to a closet and started searching the jacket pockets and we suddenly found a
golden key. Meanwhile the man was still knocking and trying to come in and we didn’t know
how to get out. We started looking for a way out and then I moved a cabinet and found a
secret doorway. It was locked so I tried to use the golden key and it surprisingly creaked
open. So my friends and I crawled through it and it led us down to what looked like the
basement. Once we stood up in the room we saw children’s bodies hanging upside down on
hooks and blood was dripping from them. We were shocked and scared we might end up
like them if we didn’t get out of there as soon as possible. We were looking around trying to
find a way out, until I found a window on the top near the ceiling but it was too high. So my
friends and I stacked up items we found around the room so we can climb on top of them
and get to the window. I climbed up and tried to push the window open and it surprisingly
opened and I felt the fresh air hit my face. Once we all got out we ended up in the backyard
of the man’s house. We then ran to my aunties house and slammed the door behind us and
finally felt safe and it was all over. Two days later I heard my auntie talking to someone
downstairs. I went to see who it was and my jaw dropped when I saw the same man with his
weird smile, from that creepy house. I heard him inviting my auntie over for dinner…
