Logistic supplies in the British Army

I study at the Military Academy in Odessa on faculty of logistics specialist suppliers. My specialize is
clothing and equipment for service men in Army. Two month ago I was tire to British as interpreter for
mobilized soldiers. I think this is a great experience and a good opportunity to study the specifics of the
work of NATO countries in my specialty. A cadet is the future of the army, who can change something
for the better with his knowledge acquired over all years of training and his own skills.

Logistic supplies is one of the main parts of all Army. Logistic specialist supplier in British Army should
send equipment, combat ration, ammunition and much more to the British Army anywhere, in any
conditions any terrain. Every one in the British Army need supplying. Without logistic supplies combat
units couldn’t perform their stuff. Royal Logistics Corps supports and sustains, and transports equipment,
military vehicles, combat ration, ammunition by air, sea and land.

British Army uses camouflage on clothing which is called the multi-terrain pattern (MTP). Multi-layered
combat wear (MTP) is designed to be combined with different environments such as forest, jungle,
complex, crops, grasslands and arid rocks. Also, depending on the task, terrain, weather conditions and
enemy, separate sets of clothing and equipment will be issued. There is more variety and types of clothing
and uniforms than in our country, but this is a matter of time, since we also do not stand still in the
development of new types. Soldiers deploying on operations are issued a kit that includes items such as
antimicrobial briefs designed to be worn for several days, fire-resistant clothing for work inside vehicles,
sleeping systems, cargo equipment and body armor. A durable, comfortable and effective combat uniform
that can be easily adapted to the many different conditions troops face on the front line. Personal Load
Carrying Equipment (PLCE) is a system developed by the British Army for carrying essential items such
as magazines for weapons, grenades and the like. The purpose of the PLCE is to store everything a soldier
needs to function for 48 hours.

In conclusion, it must be said that we have something to strive for. The level of work and support for the
British army is much higher than many countries. For them, this is in the first place, so that the
serviceman is provided with everything, down to the smallest detail, so that he can carry out his tasks. I
am sure that we will reach this level, but for this we need a lot of time, since at this time there is a more
global problem.
