To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Brenda Villafana Larios, I am a mathematics teacher at Atwater High School. It is my

pleasure to write a letter recommending Lupita Cervantes. I have known Lupita for over two years,
she is a hardworking student that has acquired time management and prioritization skills.

What stood out to me the most about Lupita was her determination. Lupita is not shy to ask for help
and is willing to put in extra work and effort to understand mathematics. I met Lupita when she was
a sophomore, she was gone for a month of school due to a family emergency. When she came back
she made up all of her assignments. She would come to class early or stop by during lunch to get
help. Lupita passed the class with a B and continued to stay focused in the class by being a constant
participant of the lesson and taking a leader role with her group.

Lupita is an active member of extracurricular activities. She has been the captain of the Girls
Wrestling Team and a member of the Junior Varsity Cheer Team for 3 years. In Wrestling was a
section divisional qualifier and a high performance team member. On top of being an athlete, Lupita
is also involved in extracurricular activities through academics. She has been a CSF member and
FFA member for 2 years. Although Lupita is busy with extracurricular activities she has achieved a
4.0 G.P.A ; she is focused on her goals.

Lupita has a goal of attending college and receiving an Associate of Occupational Science in
Ultrasound Technology. I believe that Lupita is well-qualified and will make an excellent addition to
this field of study. This field requires having customer service skills which she has learned from her
two jobs that she has held for the past three years. She is a team player, communicates efficiently,
and is goal oriented. At her young age, Lupita excels in sports, academics and the workforce. I
strongly believe that she will be successful in the medical field.

I highly recommend Lupita Cervantes to be admitted to your school. I am confident she will make
