UNIT 3: Paragraph and Dialogue Writing:

Father and son:

Father: Son, come here I need to talk to you about something important.
Son: Yes dad.
Father: I came to know that you needed some extra money.
Son: Yes dad. Actually, I have been waiting to talk you about this too
but I didn't find the right time. Dad, I had to repay some little amount to
somebody I took money from.
Father: Why did you borrowed money from somebody? Didn't you have
your pocket money?
Son: Actually, I spend all my pocket money this month.
Father: When will you learn to save money and not be extravagant? I
had advised before to not spend money on foolish things like buying
video games every week of the month.
Son: But dad I have tried to be better and not spend that extravagantly as
before.
Father: And still you had no money to repay the borrowed amount.
Maybe you should have saved more money. Son this is the last time I am
giving you extra money. If something like this happens again, I am not
giving you any extra money but instead you would have no further
pocket money. Understand?
Son: Okay dad.
Father: Go to bed now. It's getting late.
Son: Ok dad good night.
Father: Good night son.

Soldire and shop keaper:

Shop keeper(SK) : Good morning, Captain. Long time no see.
Soldier(S): Good morning. I have just returned from the front.
SK: Poor you. What a job you have! You hardly get time to spend with
your family. You missed your sister's wedding and also the birth of your
own daughter.
S: Yes, it is true I miss family life but at the same time I can provide
them a good life style with my secured salary and benefits.
SK: Time is more valuable than money. What is the use of money if you
can't give them time? Look at me I spend quality time with my family.
S: You sure do but I remember the condition of your family when your
shop wasn't running properly You had to beg and borrow money from
others to run your household.
SK: Well I get to meet and interact with so many people everyday.
S: I not only interact with people but gain a vast experience with my
work. I travel to places, serve people when there is a calamity and am
treated with respect wherever I go. Regarding interacting with people I
meet so many people of such high status. The other day I received a
medal from the President of India.
SK: Well I am like the frog in a well whilst you are the frog of the
ocean!
S: Nothing of that sort. All occupations have their merits. Let us not
compare them Let's share a cup of tea, shall we?
SK. Aye aye Captain! At your command.
S: But who will pay the bill.(giggles)
Sk: Don’t worry I’ll do.(Both laugh)
