Project The Agric – Isawo - Konu – Arepo – Lagos Ibadan Expressway project is 12.75Km road with an alignment cutting
Description across both Lagos and Ogun States. The Phase 1A is the ongoing project CH 0+400 – 7+ 400 while the completion
project is ongoing between CH. 0+000 – 0+400 to enhance the movement of people in and out of Agric. However, the
project could not be harmonized into phase 1A because of some technical challenges that couldn’t be resolved as at
the time of award of phase 1A.The project will also interphase with the Mile 12 – Ikorodu road at Ogolonto, Agric and
Aruna junctions respectively. Traffic remodeling has been done so as create a circulatory movement only between
Ogolonto and Aruna junctions. This will mean further expansion in terms of construction of additional lanes at the
above named three junctions in order to increase their capacity and enhance traffic flow.

The route, Agric – Isawo – Konu – Arepo was selected after the route selection process of various route corridors. The
selected route is in line with the Strategic Transport Master Plan (STMP) jointly carried out by ALG Consultants and
Advanced Engineering Consultants (AEC). The project when completed will enhance free movement of the people
and goods from adjacent communities to the mainstream of Lagos via Mile 12 Ikorodu road and Lagos - Ibadan
Express way.

The project is expected to enhance community policing within the area and improve infrastructure within the
environment from Ikorodu area through to Lagos Ibadan Express way. The present project is the completion of Agric -
Isawo – Konu – Arepo Road (CH. 0+000 – 0+400)/Upgrading of Ogolonto, Agric and Aruna junctions will provide the
following:
i. Construction of 400m dual carriage with dedicated U-turns
ii. Construction of 100m slip road
iii. Provision of 80mm thick paving stone on the Carriageway as surfacing
iv. 40mm thick sharp sand bedding
v. 150mm thick crushed stone base course (≥80% CBR)
vi. 200mm Soil – Cement stabilized subbase (5% Cement)
 vii. Shape and compact
viii. Provision of pedestrian walkways
ix. Construction of reinforced concrete drains/culverts
x. Provision of Street Lighting Including Generators and Transformers
xi. Provision of Service Ducts (Longitudinal and Transverse)
xii. Provision of Traffic System Management
