Why do we need a skybridge?

○ Davenport Skybridge- $7.4 million, 50 ft vertical, 600ft length, 4 elevators

Projected Timeline
● Estimated design time: 3 months

Benefits
● Much safer for ISU students and Ames residents to cross the street
● Less congestion as cars need to stop less for pedestrians
● A great view of Lincoln Way is provided
Impacts
● Potential loss of trees in construction site
● Interruption of road traffic during construction
● More maintenance than a traditional crosswalk
