BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

PLACEMENT / LOCATION
Whether the bridge to be built is for private use on a farm or on a busy municipal
highway, location is the first consideration in the bridge construction process. There is
always a reason bridges should be built, and that is to fill a need. It could be to allow
access to an otherwise inaccessible location. It could be driving traffic to a business
district. Or it could be simply to improve the architecture and aesthetics of a state or
company headquarters.
Building the foundations is the first step in building a bridge. This process involves
detailed geotechnical investigations of the bridge site. The type of bridge foundation
should be selected, such as pit foundation, pile foundation, and open foundation. Each
base is suitable for specific soil strata and desired bridge characteristics. The
characteristics of the soil will determine the bearing capacity and other important
parameters.

DESIGN
For some, the design may be simple. If your agricultural cooperative needs a bridge
over a small stream to provide access for livestock, you probably won't opt for
decorative lamps and painted arches. On the other hand, if your sprawling retail
complex opens up on the main street where potential customers have to walk past to
enter, the décor enhances your brand.

COST ESTIMATION
The obvious costs involved are the steel, concrete, rebar, labor, etc. But there are other
costs that need to be factored into the equation. Our experienced experts know the costs
involved, be it material, legal or human resources. We can give you a clear and accurate
estimate before you make your decision to go ahead.

CONSTRUCTION
There are numerous options once you get to the actual construction stage of the bridge.
If you followed the process steps, it is “as simple as building blocks”. If you've ever
helped your kid put together a Lego kit, you get the point. That's why we call it a
process. If everything is done correctly and in order, you will be rewarded with a bridge
to be proud of.

-cover plan -railings installed -painting and decoration -Tests

Even in this short article, it is obvious that building a bridge is a complex project. It can
be expensive and it can take time. Our team can save you time and money by guiding
you through the entire project.
