Lazy Day
Last sunday, I spent all day laying on my bed. I looked around me and I saw a new comic book that
I just bought yesterday laying next to my laptop. I tried to drag it closer to me by using my foot, and then I
picked it with my hand. I unwrapped the comic and started reading it. When I just reached the middle of the
story, I felt thirsty so I got up of my super comfortable bed and walked out the room. I walked down the
stairs right to the kitchen.
I opened the fridge and I found a bottle full of chill orange juice. I opened the bottle and poured the
orange juice into a glass. When I checked my fridge, I saw that I still had a leftover Pizza from yesterday,
so I decided to reheat it in my microwave. So I sat in the kitchen for a while waiting the Pizza to be ready.
When the timer of the microwave was off, I picked the Pizza up and put it on my plate.
I took my orange juice and my Pizza and brought them back into my bedroom. I enjoyed the Pizza
and the orange juice and continued reading my comic book. After that I decided to watch my favorite K-
drama on my laptop, so I set my portable laptop desk on my bed. This way, I could watch my favorite show
without having to leave my super cozy bed.

Once, a lion, a fox, a jackal and a wolf went hunting together. They looked for their prey and killed a

other three animals skinned and cut it into four.

Wood
Wood is a natural material. It comes from the trunks and branches of trees. Different trees
produce different kinds of wood. Some woods, such as oak, are very hard. Others, such as blasa, are very
soft. Most woods are light enough to float but some, such as ebony, sink. Wood has a distinctive smell.
When you hit it with a hammer, it has a distinctive sound.
Some woods, such as ebony, are so hard that it is almost impossible to saw or knock a nail into
them. Balsa wood is so soft you can easily break it with your fingers. Different woods are chosen to make

A long time ago there lived a husband and a wife. They were poor and they did not have any
children yet. Days and nights, they prayed to God. They really wanted their dream came true! The
God gave them a baby.
They saw the baby surprisely. He was so small as small as a little finger. "You prayed to God to
give us a child, although he is as small as a little finger, right? So be thankful to God. Let's love him”,
said his wife. They named their baby “Little Finger”.
Time passed by and Little Finger did not grow much. Though he was so small, Little Finger ate
like adults. He ate much food. His parents were poor and sometimes they could not eat because they
had to give their food to Little Finger. "I cannot hold it anymore. I want to put Little Finger in the
jungle. I think he can survive," said the father.
In the morning, Little Finger and his father went to the jungle. When they arrived, the father
asked Little Finger to cut down a very big tree. When Little Finger was busy cutting down the tree, his
father silently went home. The father thought that Little Finger could not cut down the big tree. But
he was wrong! In the morning Little Finger suddenly showed up in front of the house. And he brought
the big tree also!

 The father was surprised. Little Finger then went inside the house. As always he ate all the
food and that made his father got angry. He then had another idea. "Little Finger, let's go to the

arrived, his father pointed a big stone. It was as big as their house! "I want you to bring that big stone
to our house," asked the father. When Little Finger was trying to bring the stone, the father immediately
ran home.
At night, when the father was sleeping, suddenly he heard Little Finger's voice. "Father, I'm
home. Where do you want me to put this big stone?" This time Little Finger's father realized his
mistake. It was true that Little Finger's body was small and he ate much food. But he was a nice
kid and he had great power. With that power, they could get a job and had a lot of money. The father
then apologized to Little Finger. Since then they always worked together.

Why the earthquake often happen in West Sumatera? Sumatra is at the boundary between two
tectonic plates. The ocean floor southwest of Sumatra is part of the Indian/Australian plate, while Sumatra and
the other islands of Indonesia and Thailand are part of the Eurasian plate.
The two plates meet on the ocean floor at the plate boundary, which is about 200 km (125 miles) off
