Long ago a terrible dragon came to the kingdom of Tarania. It carried away the princess. “Oh…save my
princess,” the king of Tarania shouted. “Who can save Princess Tara?
“I can save Princess Tara, I’m the bravest knight in your kingdom”. Prince Gregor said proudly. I can save her
too, but I’m the poorest boy in your kingdom”. Thomas said humbly.
“You?..ha..ha..ha…” Prince Gregor laughed loudly. How can you save the princess? You have no soldiers and
you no swords”. “I’ll save the princess beggar boy.”
Ready! Get set! Charge! The terrible dragon roared! Prince Gregor and his soldier ran away. But Thomas didn’t
run away. He opened his basket and took out a ladder, a flute, a rope, a piece of meat, a spear and a blanket.

Do you want some delicious, rich, soft, creamy, chocolate candy? Then you should follow this easy, new
recipe exactly. Mix two full cups of fine sugar, six level tablespoons of cocoa, and three fourths of cup of milk.
Cook the mixture over a very low and steady heat. Stir while cooking. The sugar will melt completely.
Continue cooking the candy mixture very, very slowly to the boiling point. Stop stirring. A few drops of the
mixture will form a soft ball in cold water. Remove from the low heat. Do not stir at all. Next, add one full
teaspoon of pure liquid vanilla. Then heat the mixture quickly. It will now become creamy and smooth. Add
broken nut meats. Pour the mixture on a plate lightly greased with butter.

Newspapers and magazines are very important in a modern life. People in cities, town and villages went current
information. Newspapers and magazines provide them with news about politics, crime, entertainment, sport
and other information you need.
The production of Newspapers and magazines is very hard work. Journalist search news, they try hard to
interview people to get the correct issue direct, from the horse’s mouth. Then they write it good and interesting
articles.
The editors decide the headlines and the new layout. They decide which articles must go on the front page and
which news is printed inside the paper. After all pages are ready then a managing editor approves and now the
newspaper is ready to publish.

We would like to invite you and your staff to visit our school SMP Duta Bangsa, where we are engaged in an
exciting service learning project.
Service-learning is a teaching method that engages our students in solving problems within their school and
communities as an integral part of their academic studies.
It is hoped that students master important curriculum content by making meaningful connection between what
they study and its real-life applications. Besides, students become more effective citizens through acts of
kindness, community stewardship and civic action. This effort is made possible with support from Learn and
Serve America, a program of the corporation for National and Community Service.
May we suggest that you visit us on January 11, 2010 at 10 o’clock? This will give you an opportunity to see
our program in action. We have also invited our community partners, members of the local media, and several
families of students whom we serve. They are eager to talk to you about the importance of investing in service-
learning activities in our local community.
We have enclosed a one page profile of our program for your reference. I will contact your office within the
next two weeks to follow-up on this invitation. Again, we do hope you can join us on this occasion.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Andy Sehatapi

Singsing Waterfall is located in Banjar Labuhan Haji Desa Temukus Kecamatan Banjar. It is about 3 km from
Lovina and 13 km from Singaraja.
To go to Singsing Waterfall, people can ride a motorcycle until the road to Tigawarsa village. There is sign
pointing to the road that has to be followed on foot as far as 600 metres to get to the first waterfall. To get to the
second waterfall which is located in the higher place, you have to walk on the step road. The ascending road to
the waterfall becomes an attractive activity for those who love trekking, too.
Because the location is close to Lovina, there are many people who stay in Lovina to visit this waterfall, too. In
the dry season, the volume of the waterfall relatively goes down.
Not far from this waterfall, there is a monument called Monument Belanda.
No one knows how the name Singsing is used. However, people around the waterfall and also the visitors call it
