Security Instructions
The installation must be carried out by trained technicians using the applicable standards for
installation and operation of equipment for use in hazardous areas.
The CLB-EX1 Line Luminaires must not be installed in areas classified as Zone 0 and Zone
20.
The temperature class, and the type of protection of the equipment must be observed before
installation according to the area classification.
To avoid the formation of electrostatic discharge, clean only with a damp cloth.
No mechanical or electrical modifications are allowed to the luminaire, it must only be used for
the purpose for which it was designed and be in perfect condition for use before installation.
Any damage to the luminaire and components may impair the explosion protection.
National safety rules and regulations for the prevention of accidents, as well as the safety
instructions included in this manual, must be observed.
Keep the installation and operating instructions in a suitable place. This manual must not be
kept inside the Luminaire after it has been installed.
The CLB-EX1 Line Luminaires are intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in
zones 1 and 2 or 21 and 22 (groups IIA, IIB, IIC and IIIA, IIIB, IIIC).
Installation Precautions
• It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the Luminaires are installed in compliance with
the relevant standards for electrical installations in potentially explosive atmospheres (ABNT
NBR IEC 60079-14) and the manufacturer’s recommendations. Improper installation and
operation may result in voiding the warranty.
• The IP protection degree of the Luminaire must be checked, if it is in accordance with the
installation area before assembly.

Installation
• Before using the luminaire, check that there is no damage, cracks in the polycarbonate
casing and covers and in the power cable.
Electrical Connections
• Luminaire supplied with power cable (pigtail), for installation with plug for outlet or connection
box within the classified area, they must comply with the classification of the area.
• Check the electrical characteristics, voltage, current, power of the luminaire before
connecting it to a power source.
• The AC or DC power supply must be de-energized before connecting the luminaire leads
or plug.
• Due care must be taken when connecting the conductors, preventing insulation failures and
short circuits. Do not make splices in the cable, nor increase its length and ensure that the
cable is correctly fixed.
How to Install
• The CLB-EX line luminaires are supplied with a 1.5m cable (standard supply), other sizes
can be supplied at the customer’s request.
• Remove approximately 6 mm of insulation from each of the 3 wires (L1, L2, Earth) and make
the interconnection inside the “Ex” junction box (box not supplied) according to the models
in figure 06 and 07. Check that the wires are well connected and the insulation of the wires is
inside the connectors. of the connectors.

Maintenance / Inspection
• Repairs or replacement of the power supply driver, LED board, lens and other types that
may affect the protection and safety must be carried out by Conexled.
• Perform regular visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections. The environment and time of
use determine the frequency of inspections and maintenance.
However, we recommend a preventive maintenance program of at least once a year.
Maintenance and cleaning of the luminaire must be carried out at a period established in
accordance with the climatic conditions and pollution of the place.
Failure to do so can impair functioning and even damage or burn the components of the
luminaire, such as accumulation of dust and/or oil, metallic soot from machining, pollutants
from chemical products, etc.
