SOP FOR POKER CHIP

Sample Taken- 4.0 to 4.5 gm

Spacer Dowels: - Length-3.175mm, Diameter: -1.5875mm

Procedure: -

 Heat the bitumen at 160 ℃ for 15-20 min or until melting point of bitumen.
Note:- 170 ℃ for Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB)
 Pre weight the sampler and pour about 4.0 to 4.5 gm of bitumen in that or we can directly
pour in the bottom plate of the poker chip.
Note:- Pre heat the top , bottom plate and spacer dowels at 165 ℃ for 45 min than pour
the bitumen directly at bottom plate.
 Now place the whole assembly in oven for another 15 min at 165 ℃.
 Remove the bottom plate and place the 3 spacer dowels at 120°, and again place it in over
for 5 min at 165 ℃
 Now, after 5 min. place the alignment pin & top plate over bottom plate and place it in
for 15 min at 165 ℃
 Now, cool the whole assembly at normal temperature for 24 hours.

Testing: -

 Place the whole assembly at poker chip instrument, fix it at proper aligned.
 Now remove the alignment pin for assembly.
 Start the test at a rpm of 5mm/min.
