1 INTRODUCTION
The Light Weight Taut Wire Mk 15B is a position reference
system designed for use in a deck-mounted port or starboard
position on surface vessels. The purpose of the Light Weight
Taut Wire system is to provide accurate data of the vessel's
movements, relative to a known point, in the fore/aft (along-
ship) and port/starboard (athwart-ships) directions.
WARNING The equipment includes high voltages, which means that the
possibility for getting an electrical shock is present. Before
commencing any installation work, read the guidelines for
First Aid treatment of personnel with electrical shock.
