Is Deathbringer an ability-based system? Or is it a skill-based system? The answer is YES! Under each
Ability Score we’ve listed every skill that might come up during play. Let’s assume the characters
have these skills. When the Ability Scores increase, so do all the skills. Some skills may seem
redundant or contradictory. Like—what exactly is the difference between “climb walls” and “scale
sheer surface”? And what’s the deal with “musicianship” and “performance.” Good question. We
dunno. Ask the GM. It’s up to them.
