Types of firewalls

1.packet filtering firewall.

A packet filtering firewall is a network security feature that
controls the flow of incoming and outgoing network data.
The firewall examines each packet in network to check
whether it matches its packet filtering rules.
Allowed ip address,packet type,port no.
Packets that are suspected as troublesome are not forwarded.

2.STATEFUL INSPECTION FIREWALLS

The TCP HANDSHAKE verification is used to establish a
reliable connection.handshake…protocols for communication
between devices.

accessing the system by locking systems screen or locking
users file until a ransom is paid

worms are software programs that replicate themselves and
transmit to other computers using network.
It is common to notice worms when their uncontrolled
replication consumes system resources,slowing or halting
tasks.

Trojans Horse:
A trojan horse virus is a type of malware that downloads on a
computer disguised as a legitimate program.
Trojan is type of malware that gets hidden as attachement to
email or free to download file,then transfers into user device.
Once downloaded ,the malicious code will execute the task.

Backdoor is a malware type that negates normal

authentication to access a system.

They allow malicious users to access the

system without executing security related
funcions.
Backdoors are being used legally by many
programmmers to debug and test their
programs.
