 INTRODUCTION

Titan Company Limited is an Indian company that mainly manufactures luxury fashion accessories
such as jewellery, watches and eyewear. Part of the Tata Group and started as a joint venture with the
TIDCO, the company has its corporate headquarters in Electronic City, Bangalore, and registered
office in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
Titan Company commenced operations in 1984 under the name Titan Watches Limited. In 1994, Titan
diversified into jewellery with Tanishq and subsequently into eyewear with Titan Eyeplus. In 2005, it
launched its youth fashion accessories brand Fastrack. The company is the largest branded jewellery
maker in India, with more than 80% of its total revenues coming from the jewellery segment. As of
2022, Titan has a 6% market share in India's jewellery market. As of 2019, it is also the fifth-largest
watch manufacturer in the world.

 IBD (DIGITAL)

IBD or International Business Division(digital) department would likely revolve around ensuring the
reliability, scalability, and security of software solutions designed to support global business
operations. The internship at Titan Company Ltd involved Software Testing project based on Testing
with SQL and POS Server. The "Software Testing" project is aimed to identify the price differences
and manage Titan international website with the overall Digital Strategy.

OBJECTIVES: The main objective is to perform software testing using Tanishq Poss server and SQL
server.

AIM: The task performed is software testing using Tanishq Poss server and SQL server.

 TASK PERFORMED
The testing is performed with the help of the Poss server. A new cash memo is created using the
customer transactions and then the variant code, lot number is selected. After the variant code is
selected, stone price and price per carat is automatically calculated. For the price conversion,
country will be selected then the pricing is done.

1.Variant Code: An identification code assigned to distinguish between different variations or versions of
a product, commonly used in retail and manufacturing industries to manage product diversity.
2.Lot Number: A unique identifier given to a specific group or batch of items, often used in inventory
management to track and manage items with similar characteristics or origins.
3.Item Code: A unique code assigned to an individual item or product within a catalog or inventory
system, facilitating easy identification and tracking of items throughout their lifecycle.
4.Stone Code: A code or alphanumeric identifier assigned to a particular type or variety of gemstone, used
for categorization and inventory management purposes.
5.Stone weight: The measurement of the mass of a gemstone, typically expressed in carats, which is a unit
of weight used specifically for gemstones.
6.Rate per Carat: The cost or price assigned to a gemstone per unit weight (carat), used in pricing
calculations and financial transactions involving gemstones.

7.Rate per stone: The cost or price assigned to a gemstone as a whole unit, regardless of its weight,
used in pricing calculations and financial transactions involving gemstones.
8.Conversion: The conversion of price rates in bills involves converting prices from one currency or
unit of measurement to another to accurately reflect the cost of jewellery for customers or recipients.
9.Total Cost : The overall monetary value or sum of all costs associated with a transaction,
including the cost of jewellery, taxes, shipping, and any additional fees or expenses.

 CONCLUSIONS
Conclusions about software testing in the IBD department would emphasize the importance of
continuous improvement and feedback loops to adapt to evolving business requirements,
technological advancements, and market dynamics. Feedback from users, stakeholders, and
performance metrics should inform iterative improvements to software quality and reliability over
time. software testing within the International Business Division is critical for ensuring the success
and resilience of global business operations.
