is going to rise from 800 million today to 2 billion by the year 2050. This will lead to a decrease in the
global workforce, which consists of all workers between the ages of 16 and 60. Naturally, this situation
will have a negative impact on production rates. For example, in a factory, a smaller number of workers
will have to produce a higher number of goods. Therefore, they will have to work at maximum
productivity levels at all times, which is not always possible in reality. To deal with this problem,
businesses need their workers to continue to work beyond the age of 60. This means that they need to
take some precautions which will encourage older workers to stay in employment.
