QUESTION 2

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A LITERATE AND NON LITERATE.

Literate individuals can read and write, while non-literate individuals cannot. Literate individuals
can communicate through written language, which allows them to send letters, write emails, read
books, and access a wide range of information. Non-literate individuals rely more on verbal
communication. Literacy is often a prerequisite for formal education. Literate individuals can benefit
from a wider range of educational opportunities while non literate cannot benefit from such
opportunities. Literacy provides access to information beyond what is orally transmitted, including
news, research, and literature, but a non literate individual cannot access such information due to
his/her inability to read. Literacy can enhance cognitive abilities, including critical thinking and
problem-solving skills, as reading and writing require complex mental processes. But there is little a
non literate can do due to his/her inability to think critically.
