boarding house for disabled children with special needs of psychophysical
development".
4 Project objectives:
- to prepare students for independent work;
- to instill the skills and abilities of artistic wood processing and carpentry;
- development of fine motor skills of the hands;
- development and education of a creative, initiative and enterprising person.
5 Tasks:
1. Strengthening the material and technical base of the orphanage in the form of a
carpentry workshop;
2. General development of the wards through fine motor skills of the muscles of the
hands;
3. The development of aesthetic taste, the formation of spiritual culture and the need
to communicate with art;
4. To cultivate a respectful attitude to the work of one's own and the work of other
people;
5. To foster a careful attitude to nature;
6. Adjust personal qualities: activity, initiative, will, curiosity, etc.
7. Correct mental processes: attention, memory, perception, speech.
 6 Target group: disabled children with special features of psychophysical
development.
7 A brief description of the activities within the project.
The equipment of the workshop involves the following:
1. The purchase of a construction trailer, in which the workshop will be located.
2. Arrangement of the workshop: tables, chairs, shelves for storing literature,
visual aids and materials for classes.
3. Technical means of training: laptop, projector.
4. Purchase of tools and accessories: workbenches, stools, hinged shelves,
electric jigsaw, jigsaw table, drill-screwdriver, circular saw, locksmith vise, hacksaws,
drills, screwdrivers, saws, wood carving kits, rubber mallets, planes, chisels, axe,
sandpaper.
5. Purchase of materials for carpentry and decorative processing (nails, screws,
nuts, boards, plywood, hand abrasive, sandpaper, glue, mastic, stain, wax, brushes.
Carpentry workshop in our social institution is an excellent solution for
effective classes that provide an opportunity to carry out an individual approach to
each student, to carry out the socialization of the child, to reveal his personal
inclinations, to develop artistic and aesthetic taste. In the course of the work, the tools
of carpentry are studied with their application in practice. During the training, the
wards will learn to distinguish wood by color and texture. This will give you a rich
practical experience, allowing you to form ideas about the world around you.
The carpentry workshop will be divided into two levels:
1. Working with simple tools;
2. Working with power tools;
Several groups of 5 people will be created. Tasks are selected taking into
account the capabilities and features. Someone will be able to move to a new level of
work with additional tools, and someone will be able to continue working in a form
that allows you to work according to your physical and mental capabilities. During the
work, there is a training on how to choose the right one from the many tools lying on
the table with understanding, one is necessary. Working with a ruler, screws will
allow you to learn counting skills. Concentration of attention, coordination of the
work of two hands will appear while working with a saw, a jigsaw, a screwdriver.
Weekly classes will allow you to realize your unused potential for the benefit.
