Summary
Food loss is happened at the beginning on the supply chain, loss at harvesting,
transportation, distribution. Food waste on the other hand is more consumption
side, over preparation at restaurants, leftovers. With simple innovations like the
grain robot, you can save tons of resources and save food loss at the start of the
food chain. Refrigeration is vital for protecting crops after harvest and during
transportation. Water is wasted far more than any other food in the food chain.
The US alone uses 82 billion liters of water every day.

Your comments
I have not even thought about food being loss at the harvesting, transportation,
and distributing stage. It is also amazing to see the solutions people have
thought of at each stage of the food chain to reduce the food loss. It makes me
more alert about how much food I am wasting.
