A Transformative Technology Whose Time Has Come
Technological Advances Now Allow Wireless Infrastructure to be Commercially Viable

Increased efficiencies, lightweight, flexible

Solar Panels
Efficiency at the photovoltaic cell level and
(Photovoltaic Cells)
the whole solar panel level

Higher energy density, lighter and cheaper

Batteries There are suppliers that produce custom
made batteries designed especially for HAPs

Lighter and stronger materials

Across all the components of the HAP vehicle
Materials
from the envelope and inner-cell, to the
airframe and propellers

Higher performance, smaller and cheaper

Communications Stronger, higher quality signals and
Electronics increased data throughput from smaller
devices

AVEALTO Wireless Infrastructure is the Best
Solution for Backhaul Links in Remote
Regions
Mobile Operators and WISP (Wirelss Internet Service Providers) Operators provide
wireless network access to their subscribers. These operators place antennas on
towers or building rooftops. If these sites have a low cost fiber or microwave
connection, the operators can provide low cost services. In areas where the only link
is via satellite, the cost of services will be higher or service will not be available at all.

Using satellite services to link remote sites is not economical and also provides a
lower quality of service due to latency and problems with forward error correction
(FEC).

Operators cannot offer their customers low cost and high quality services if they
utilizes a significant amount of satellite capacity in their network. Unfortunately, a
large portion of world with significant populations are only accessible by satellite.

AVEALTO WIP vehicles can transparently replace the function of satellite services
and provide a lower cost and higher quality access to these previously inaccessible
regions. This will allow them to offer lower price and more bandwidth to their
subscribers.

AVEALTO will be able to provide “instant on” infrastructure in remote areas to bring lower
cost service to more customers.
