Intelligent Transport Systems
High Altitude Stratospheric Platform Station systems
What Is Stratellite ?
A new way for providing wireless
communications services emerged,
based on airship or aircrafts
positioned in “ stratosphere” .

A “Stratellite” is a high altitude

airship, which are actually unmanned
Kelvar balloons filled with Helium.
TERRESTRIAL PSEUDOSATELLITES

Need for HAPS

Although the present communication system is in

third generation, it still cannot provide services to
nook and corner of the world.

The immediate solution that’s strike us is a

Satellites, but it is not a solution because it makes
communication costlier along with propagation
delay.

“HAP” is a satellite at a very low height thus

reducing losses and propagation delay.
