An energy audit is a study of a plant or facility to determine how and where energy is used and to

identify methods for energy savings. There is now a universal recognition of the fact that new
technologies and much greater use of some that already exist provide the most hopeful prospects for
the future. The opportunities lie in the use of existing renewable energy technologies, greater efforts at
energy efficiency and the dissemination of these technologies and options.

Established in 1981, Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology (SGGSIET),
Nanded, is one of the promising leader institutions in technical education, research and technology
transfer. It is having neat, clean and green campus spread over land of 46 acres. The institute offers 10
undergraduate and 10 postgraduate programs. The Institute has two buildings for boys' hostel to
accommodate 600 students and three buildings for girls' hostel to accommodate 618 girls. In addition to
