Larisma scores big win for Phoenix, trounces the Warriors in 3

The Red Phoenix outlasted the charging Warriors in 3 sets during the Intramurals Volleyball game of
Panares High School last November 23, 2023 at their school grounds.

Leading the blazing hot Phoenix is Carlito Larisma whose experience played a crucial role in their 25-18,
21-25, 25-23 win over the courageous warriors.

The Phoenix had a strong showing at the start of the first set. They dominated the warriors in all skills
department. Larisma delivered thunderous spikes and was too hot to handle for the shocked defense of
the Warriors. The Warriors tried to make a comeback but it was too late as the Phoenix emphatically
ended the set at 25-18.

Building momentum at the start of the second, the Warriors exerted their dominance but the Phoenix
were determined to sweep the match. With pressure building on and inconsistencies and errors
plaguing the Phoenix, they surrendered the set at 21-25.

At one apiece, the two teams battled tightly in the last and final set of the match. They exchanged
booming spikes and sturdy defense to not allow each other to dominate. Towards the end of the match,
Larisma showed his A-game scoring consecutive points through his battle-tested offensive weapon,
snatching the game at 25-23.
The game gave the Phoenix the upperhand in the team standings.
