The integration of technology in education has revolutionized the way students approach
their studies. From interactive learning tools to online resources, technology offers a wide array

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of technology both good and
bad on the motivation of Grade 12 students at AMA Computer College (Angeles Branch) in the
academic year 2023–2024. By comprehending these effects, we can get important insights into
how technology affects students' motivation levels. These insights can then be used by educators
and institutions to develop tactics that maximize student accomplishment and engagement.
Students' engagement and success in their academic endeavors are greatly influenced by their
motivation. This study aims to provide light on the possible advantages and difficulties of

promising opportunities for instructors and learners to increase the efficiency of the pedagogical

purposes often poses a significant challenge for Grade 12 students, as it can become a distraction
rather than a tool for learning. Thus, understanding the influence of technology on students'
motivation and engagement is crucial to enhance their academic performance and prepare them
designing effective educational strategies and interventions that cater to the evolving needs of
21st-century learners. Additionally, this research seeks to provide insights into the potential
disparities in motivation levels among Grade 12 students at AMA Computer College (Angeles
Branch), considering factors such as gender, socioeconomic background, and prior technology
experience.
Utilizing a mixed-approaches strategy, the study will collect data using both qualitative
interviews and quantitative questionnaires. The qualitative information will be gathered through
in-depth interviews with a chosen sample of students, and the quantitative information will be
gathered using an organized questionnaire. Our goal is to provide more insight into how
