2. How could you use your learnings of 6 Sigma to make you a better citizen of this
country?

According to Adam Hayes of Investopedia, Six Sigma refers to the set of quality tools
that businesses can use to eliminate defects or problems and improve the processes to
help boost their profits.

Six Sigma simply refers to a quality measurement that aspires for the best ability. A set of
methods and tools for process improvement, a statistical and data-driven process approach that
works by limiting errors. Management ideology that emphasizes statistical improvements to a
company process while advocating for qualitative success assessments above qualitative
markers.

Six sigma was developed as a management method back then to work faster with fewer
mistakes, but as the six sigma evolves; industries make it a standard that having six sigma
certificate belt levels, ranging from white to black belt signifies an individual's command of a
well-regarded method of professional skill.

Lean Six Sigma, aims to increase performance by minimizing waste and defects and increasing
job standardization. It integrates Six Sigma methodology and tools with the lean manufacturing-
lean enterprise mindset, to reduce waste of physical resources, time, effort, and talent while
maintaining quality.

As I said in the previous question, Six sigma could decrease waste, increase efficiency, reduce
errors and legal risks, and save money more. What I learned with six sigma that I could adapt to
be a better citizen is that I could help people not just by working in a company but to other
people who want to learn and adapt six sigma to their works. The benefits of learning six sigma
are that you can focus on solving a problem in a systematic approach, not just solving it without
a proper process. As a citizen, it can help me to think and process things properly, it also can
increase the productivity of my work. I will be able to have a better perspective about the issues
and how they can be resolved.
