The Online track, aimed for working executive professionals, is part of the
MaastrichtMBA programme and offered by UMIO | Maastricht University.
It combines an online learning platform with in-person educational weeks to
provide students with maximum flexibility, making it easier for you to integrate
studying an MBA into your busy life.

Economics, we have been accredited by the three leading
international quality assurance bodies: AACSB, EQUIS and

The Online track is designed in a modular format with five online courses per year - each lasting seven weeks - and three educational weeks in the two years.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE CAROUSEL APPROACH

Your learning does not stop when the classroom interaction
end. We combine our Problem-Based Learning methodology
with experiential learning, both online and face-to-face, so that
academic insights are tightly connected to practice.
We do this by encouraging you to bring cases from your own work
environment to class. We then expect you to actively experiment
with your newly acquired knowledge in your workplace.
The Online track has a flexible modular structure.
With multiple intakes per year, you will start your MBA
journey with one of the online courses. After this, it is
possible to complete the online courses and educational
weeks when it is most convenient for you, as long as it is
within four years. The online courses will be offered on a
two-year cycle.
 Educational weeks

During the online courses, our online learning platform

allows for 24/7 collaboration with your peers from all over
the world. Moreover, you will get to meet your peers face-
to-face during the educational weeks. We organise multiple
weeks along your MBA journey, together with selected
international partners. At least one week you take in
Maastricht and the other two you can choose freely to follow
either in Maastricht or at one of our international partners.

The educational weeks focus on skill development. In

particular, these weeks will allow you to exercise and
experiment with tools and techniques to implement your
plans in your unit or organisation. These weeks are designed
to inspire you with contemporary themes in management.
You will discover the latest opportunities and tools available
that will allow you to develop your managerial skills.

Flexibility

The Online track puts an emphasis on virtual presence

and collaboration, meaning it requires your weekly remote
attention while traveling to campus is very limited.
Flexibility in this track also comes in terms of study
locations, with participants being able to select their
destinations for two of the three educational weeks from a
list of qualified international partner universities.

We also offer you the possibility to switch between

educational weeks of our other On-Campus MBA,
if possible. This makes your MBA journey both unique and
agile. If you have any questions about the possibilities to

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS APPLICATION DEADLINES

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following
requirements:
• BSc or BA degree (or equivalent)
• 5 years of post-graduate work experience
• GMAT or Executive Assessment Admission Test
(depending on your professional background)
• Proficiency of English documented in an interview

TUITION FEES
Total costs for joining the Online track are € 29,500. These
costs include the tuition fees of all programme components
of the online learning environment, costs of all e-learning
materials, access to the university’s learning facilities and
participation in the three educational weeks.
