Notes:
1. McDATA M4400 and M4700 are supported only on Oracle Database 10g configurations
2. This assumes you don’t need any other ports for other functions on the switch.
3. PowerEdge 1950 and 1950 III only supports dual port Fibre Channel HBAs. 2 single port Fibre Channel
HBAs are recommended for other servers.
a. Qlogic QLA 2362 is only supported on PowerEdge 6850.
b. PE 1950, PE 1950 III only supports following dual port HBAs: Qlogic QLE 2462, QLE 2562;
Emulex LPe11002 and LPe12002.
4. This assumes one NIC for public network and two teamed NICs for private network
5. The two teamed NIC ports for private network should be on separate PCI buses. For example, one on on-
board NIC, one on addon NIC card. It is recommended that two teamed NIC s are homogenous.

Do not remove ‘Dell 2 Port TOE Key (Part number: FG027)’. Use the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite software (BACS) to
disable TOE on the Broadcom LOM. To do this open BACS and navigate to the Resource Configuration screen from the
Resource Allocations tab. Then, uncheck the box for TOE.
