ESSAY: Explain your answer in each question, it must be personal opinion. (10 points each)

1. If Emotions serve as a driving force in how one acts and behaves How can you regulate or manage your emotions
when you see someone mocking and shaming your parent?
- I would be angry at first but then as a civilized person, I would calm myself and confront them in a civilized manner. I
would not tolerate what they did and reprimand them. They could mock me but not my family.

2. In our lesson there are four Emotional Regulation tips that you can use to manage your emotions,
what do you think is the most effective to you and why?
- I think the most effective for me is reassessing the situation first before I act. In that way, I would know the appropriate
emotions and actions I should show so that no regrets would guilt me after.

3. “Empathy is understanding other people and putting yourself in their shoes.” What was your most life changing realizations
when you tried to put yourself in other people’s situation?
- When I was young, I have this attitude of thinking that what I want, I should get. My mouth has no stopper of what I
want to say without thinking of whom I am talking to especially the way I talk to my family because I always thought,
they would understand my attitude. When I got older, I realized that it is not only me that has feelings. My family
became open of what happens during arguments and what we should change on our approach on such situations. I try
to put myself in my familys’ shoes whenever I get emotional and aggressive so that whatever I might do or say, I could
control and prevent.
4. SPIRITUALITY is defined as someone’s realizations, life and relationship with the Divine being.
When you die where do you think your soul is going and why?
- I have faith in my religion but it is not strong as others. Whenever I think of where my soul would go if I die, I would
say neither heaven or hell. It just disappears. I have no idea what happens next after dying but I would like to believe in
reincarnation. I would be great to have another shot in life, whatever form it may be.
