LEARNING EXPERIENCE:

WEEK 1:-

Introduction to Insurance: In the first week of the internship, the intern has learned about the
history of insurance, the company, and its department. The intern was taught about the various
insurance products and services offered by the company. The intern performed role-play in front
of the guide to learn how to communicate with the customer. And the intern was taught to fill out
forms for the respective policies and to calculate the rate of premiums and claims for the
policies.

WEEK 2:-

In the second week of the internship, the intern was taught about the professions in the insurance
business, and product training has been provided for ULIP plans. The intern has learned about
how financial planning is done in insurance as well as in day-to-day life. Also, the intern was
made to know about the roles, rights, and liabilities of nominee, assignee, and beneficiary. The
intern was also taught about tax planning and tax exemptions in the insurance business.

WEEK3:-

During the third week of the internship, the intern was trained for the IRDAI exam. The intern
attended many practical tests and mock tests. The intern has cleared the IRDAI exam.

WEEK 4: -

The last week of the internship, the intern was taught about health insurance, insurance
ombudsman and key-man insurance. The intern performed role-play as a sales person in front of
the guide to learn to describe a policy to a customer, clarify doubts, communicate efficiently, and
help customers fill out forms.
CONCLUSION:

Through the internship training, the intern actually understood how to maintain politeness and
calmness with the customers also it helped the intern to improve the communication skills and
adapt to the office environment.
During the internship training period, the intern received criticism and advice from the higher
authority however, those advices were useful for the intern to change and avoid making the same
mistake again. The internship programme helped the intern to overcome the weaknesses and
provided guidance whenever it was needed. The intern got an opportunity to work in different
departments and gained a lot of varied experience. Overall the internship programme was
informative and knowledgeable.
