CREATE LOVE WITH ME

Boy Love Story

Scene 1
[Ace enters a coffee shop and orders a drink. He finds a table and sits down, taking out
his laptop to work. Zen enters the coffee shop a few minutes later, orders a tea, and
looks around for a place to sit. The only open seat is at Ace’s table.]
Zen: Mind if I join you? The shop’s pretty full.
Ace: [Looks up from laptop] Oh sure, go ahead.
[Zen sits across from Ace. He sneaks a few glances at Ace while drinking his tea. Ace is
focused on his work on his laptop. After a few moments, Zen speaks up to start a
conversation.]
Zen: Lots of work there? What are you working on?
Ace: [Looks up] Oh just an article I’m writing for my university’s blog. I write about
environmental issues.
Zen: Cool. Saving the planet one blog at a time? [Smiles]
Ace: [Chuckles] Something like that. I’m Ace by the way.
Zen: Zen. Nice to meet you. You go to the university around here then?
Ace: Yeah, just a few blocks away. You?
Zen: No, I graduated last year. I work at an accounting firm not too far from here.
Ace: Oh nice. The business professional type, huh? Explains the suit.
[They both laugh and continue chatting. They realize they have some shared interests
and seem to hit it off...]
Scene 2
[A few days later, at the same coffee shop. Ace is already seated with his laptop when
Zen enters. Zen smiles when he sees Ace and goes to order his tea. He then
approaches Ace’s table.]
Zen: Hey stranger...this seat taken again?
Ace: [Looks up and smiles] Zen! Hey, not at all, sit down.
Zen: Come here often?
Ace: A few times a week to get work done...what about you? Don’t you have an office
for that?
Zen: I do, but I like getting out sometimes. And maybe I was hoping I’d run into you
again.
[Ace blushes slightly and they chat for a while, growing closer...]
Scene 3
[A park near the university on a sunny day. Ace and Zen are walking together, talking
and laughing.]
Ace: Wow, I can’t believe you pulled off that huge accounting merger solo straight out of
college! Impressive stuff.
Zen: [Waves hand modestly] Oh you know, just doing my job. But enough about me -
you made headlines getting that city greenhouse gas legislation passed!
Ace: Only a small part. It was a group effort.
Zen: Still, you should be proud. You’re really making a difference, Ace.
[They stop walking for a moment and face each other under a large tree, smiling softly.]
Ace: Can I...tell you something, Zen?
Zen: Of course, what is it?
Ace: I really like spending time with you. When I’m with you I feel like...I don’t know. Like
I can be who I am without worrying what other people think.
Zen: [Steps closer] I really like being with you too, Ace. More than I expected. From the
moment we met, talking to you just felt...right.
[They gaze into each others eyes for a moment, then slowly lean in and kiss softly.]
