Twelfth Five-year Plan objectives for Technical Education as a key component for improving
the quality of Engineering Education in existing institutions with a special consideration for
focus states viz. 7 Low Income States (LIS ), eight states in the North-East of India, three Hill
states viz. Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Andaman and Nicobar
Islands (a union territory (UT) and Special Category States (SCS) and support to strengthen
few affiliated technical universities to improve their policy, academic and management
practices.
The Project is implemented through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)
of the Government of India as a Central Sector Scheme (CSS), wherein 100% funds is provided
as grants to the States, Institutions& ATUs.
The Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme aims to upscale the quality of
technical education and enhance existing capacities of the institutions to become dynamic,
demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic
and technological developments occurring both at national and international levels.
IET Agra is identified as one of the TEQIP 1.1 institution which is twinned with DCRUST
Murthal by MHRD, GOI under the project to build capacity and improved performance.
Institute has shown an exponential growth over a period of time under TEQIP III. The Institute
aims to upscale the quality of technical education and enhance its existing capacities to become
dynamic, demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid
economic and technological developments occurring both at national and international levels.

NBA:
The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is one of the two major bodies responsible for
accreditation of higher education institutions in India, along with the National Assessment
and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NBA accredits technical programmes, such engineering
and management programmes, while NAAC accredits general colleges and universities. To
ensure quality and improvement, IET Agra has applied for accreditation in CSE program in
2019-20 to verify that institution meet the norms and standards prescribed by AICTE. It
ensures continuous quality improvement to promote developmental approach that helps in
attaining excellence. The college has started the process for NBA accreditation. All efforts
are undertaken to accredit all departments. A dedicated team under the leadership of some
senior professors has been formed. The process may take 3 to 4 years. The institute has
already applied for the accreditation of the CSE department. We have conducted Two day's

REMEDIAL CLASS
Remedial classes are often used to stress the basics in a subject such as physics, math, chemistry
or language. They are very helpful for students having problems with advanced concepts to
fully understand the basics of a subject. Students can also take advantages of remedial classes
to catch up on material after a long break from education. Remedial classes are useful tools to
gain a more complete grasp of difficult ideas or rules. Weaker students from each branch were
identified in basic subjects of English, physics, chemistry, maths and provided with remedial
classes for improving their understanding of the concerned subject and improving their
performance. As per the guidelines of NPIU test is conducted in Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics, English subjects for finding out the weaker students in each branch in first year.
Students are counselled and remedial classes are scheduled for them to improve their academic
performance. Students- Faculty Interaction Period is allotted exclusively meant for slow
learners to interact with Faculty and to clarify their doubts in various semesters. Remedial
classes are provided as per time table for slow learners and student’s doubts and Problems are
addressed during these classes. Moreover, topics covered in regular classes are also again
covered in the remedial classes for weaker students. In 2018-19, a total of 142 students were
given remedial classes. In 2019-20, total 143 students were provided remedial classes. In 2020-
21 a total of 207 students will be provided remedial classes in different basic subjects of

TECH FEST
I.E.T. Khandari Campus Agra organized a three day grand Tech Fest Pragati from 11th May
2018 to 13th May 2018.
Technical Fest plays an important role in the college curriculum. Tech Fest in I.E.T. was an
event where young brains got a chance to showcase their skills and compete with others to find
the best in them. It was not just the competitions but a platform where a lot of new ideas were
seen live. I.E.T. Tech Fest was a collection of various inspiring events which were mingled
with learning, creativity and entertainment. This Tech Fest of I.E.T. guided and provoked the
budding engineers to dream bigger and make those dreams come true. There
were numerous events held during Tech Fest some of them are listed below:
Robo War: This was the most crowd attracting event. It was one of its kind ever held
in the entire Agra Mandal. A grand, strong and sturdy metallic arena was built in
which the Robots were put to war against each other. And the best part was that
everything was made by our evolving Technocrats i.e our Students.
Codigo: A time bound event in which the contestants had to crack codes given in C
Language and later the programming skills of the participants was judged.
Trequizire: An event which inculcated among the students the qualities of team spirit
and sports man spirit. A quiz was followed by the treasure hunt. A real fun filled
event it was.
Circuit Trix: In this event similar electrical components were provided to the teams,
using them they had to design a specific electronics application. The basic concept
of Analog and Digital Electronics was used and was designed on a Bread Board
End A War : An event which was based on the pattern of company placements. It had
two rounds in it. First round was quiz based on general knowledge and the second
round was of group discussion.
E Sports: As the name indicates the electronic sport, played on big screens was the
most fun filled and entertaining event of the Tech Fest held at IET. Two games
TEKKEN and COUNTER STRIKE GO were played during the three days.
Web O Mania: The event which aimed at bringing out the hidden web developers of
our Institute. The event was conducted in three rounds. First round was the
elimination round in the form of buzzer quiz. In the second round the selected
participants had to work upon the web components. And in the last round the
participants had to develop the web page.
Best Of Scrap: This event was the most productive event as the contestants had to
come with new and innovative ideas for using the waste materials. The waste material
whether in the form of plastic products or metal anything could be used to make
useful items. Most creative and innovative ideas were seen during this event.
Dubsmash: An event which was on full bollywood style, was the most funny event.
The acting skills of the contestants were seen in full swing. This event used some
video messaging apps in which the user had to choose an audio recording or
soundbite from movies, shows or internet trends and record a video of themselves
dubbing over that piece of audio. The video was then loaded on the official page of
face book and the one with maximum likes was selected the best.
Cultural Events: Many of the students participated in the cultural events. There were
various performances like group dance, solo dance, duet singing and also solo
singing. The participants showed their best dancing and singing skills.
EthicalHacking: The most informative event it was as the students who knew about
hacking and cyber security shared their knowledge with the audience and told them
how to be safe and secure while using internet.
Models and Project Exhibition: This was entirely the final year students’ show. They had
exhibited the projects and models made by them. Some of the eye catching models were Kinetic
Energy Recovery System,
Automatic Breaking System, River Cleaning System, Pedal Operated Water Pump and Blower,
Automatic Air Filling System, Design Of Refrigeration cum Air Conditioner, Solar Distillation
Plant for Desalination of Water, Automated Fired Alarm System, Wireless Solar Powered
Grass Cutter, Health Monitoring System Using GSM Module with GPS Tracking, Automated
Plant Watering System, Password Based Door Lock System, Ultrasonic Blind Walking Stick
with GPS Tracking and GSM Based Gas Leakage Detection System Using ARUNO ALARM.
Some of the models were so innovative that they were advised by the audience to get patent
right. The students were given feed back and good wishes for their future endeavours.
The three day Tech Fest of I.E.T. drew lot of people of Agra to visit I.E.T. campus and exhibit
the events and activities happening around. The closing was made by distributing certificates
and trophies to the winners. A lot of media was also attracted and a complete coverage was
made, printed and telecasted on the local as well as national level.

As per the AICTE mandate, Mentor-Student program was initiated in the institute in
2018-19 to discuss the problems of the students and solve them. In respect to the
mandate, the institute has an effective mentoring system followed in every branch to
resolve the problems of students and help them in building a healthy relationship with
the faculties. The faculties of the institute are nominated as mentors of various branches
in order to conduct mentoring sessions with different group of students. The faculty
member who is working as mentor is assigned on an average with 20 students as his/her
mentees. The mentoring session is conducted periodically, that is, twice a month to
obtain a regular feedback and report from the students. For the mentoring sessions a
proforma is designed in which the mentor records the problems of students and registers
the action taken in that regard to resolve the problem. In every periodical meeting,
mentors interact with the mentees individually to understand his/her problems and also
register the attendance of the mentees in every session.
The following faculty members performed as mentors of the students of the respective branches
