Subject: Proposal to allow flexible working hours to enhance work life balance of employees

Dear Siva,

I hope this email finds you well. I want to talk about a critical issue that has just come to my
attention since it directly affects the health and productivity of our staff. As we are all aware, for
many of our team members, returning to the office after doing remote work has proven to be a
considerable obstacle.

Our staff at Infosys have managed their professional responsibilities while also managing domestic
commitments during the last two years, displaying outstanding tenacity and adaptability. However,
it has become more and more clear that many of them are experiencing unnecessary stress and
challenges as a result of the present return-to-office routine. Their capacity to focus has been
impacted by worries about child care, household duties, and caring for aging relatives.

We had hoped that this tension would gradually subside with time, but to our dismay, it has greatly
worsened. We have seen employees struggle to strike a balance between their personal and
professional obligations by showing up late, leaving early, or even skipping work entirely. In order to
ensure the welfare and productivity of our workers, it is crucial that we address this issue as soon as
possible.

In order to do this, I would like to propose the implementation of a flexible work timings policy.
Under this approach, employees would still be required to meet their specified number of working
hours, but they would have the flexibility to choose when they work within reasonable bounds. This
would allow them to better accommodate their personal commitments and work demands,
ultimately resulting in a more balanced and satisfied workforce. I am confident that flexible timings
would be a positive change for Infosys.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to assist you regarding the proposal.

Sincerely,

Harikrishnan MM
