Hi, my name is __________

Today I explain to you about Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR.

It's a framework for businesses to consider the impact of their actions on society
and the environment. Essentially, it's about being a good citizen in the global
community.

What is CSR?

Imagine a company as a person. CSR is about that company acting responsibly

towards its employees, customers, the environment, and the community it operates
in. It's a balancing act between making profits and creating positive social change.

Why is CSR Important?

Consumers increasingly care about how companies operate. Strong CSR practices
can lead to:

 Enhanced Brand Reputation: People want to support companies that align

with their values.
 Improved Employee Engagement: Employees feel proud to work for a
responsible company.
 Reduced Risk: Strong environmental practices can avoid costly regulations
and fines.
The Pillars of CSR

CSR can be broken down into four key areas but I will present three which are:

1. Environmental Responsibility: How a company minimizes its negative

impact on the environment. This can include reducing waste, using
renewable energy, and being mindful of resource consumption.
2. Economic Responsibility: A company's commitment to financial stability
and growth while contributing to the economic well-being of the community.
This involves fair wages, responsible sourcing, and avoiding harmful
business practices.
4. Ethical Responsibility: Operating with honesty, fairness, and
transparency. This includes ethical sourcing, labor practices, and avoiding
corruption.
Conclusion

CSR is no longer optional. By embracing these principles, companies can

contribute to a more sustainable and just future, while achieving long-term
success.
