GEC 008 – Ethics

My Ethical Journey in Ethics

As individuals, we exist within a larger framework known as society,

and ethics is a fundamental aspect of navigating the various personal and
professional interactions that we encounter. Whether in the workplace,
academia, or daily life, ethical behavior is often demanded of us, and as
such, it is imperative that we cultivate a strong sense of ethical awareness
and responsibility. In reflecting upon the Ethics subject, it is clear that it
provides a comprehensive framework for examining the various moral and
ethical issues that we may face, and challenges us to consider these
issues critically. From consequentialist and deontological approaches to
virtue ethics and ethical relativism, Ethics examines the various
philosophical perspectives that inform our understanding of right and wrong
and offers a platform for the discussion and exploration of these themes.
Additionally, the study of Ethics is vital for the development of a well-
rounded and informed individual, capable of making ethical decisions in a
range of situations.

Moreover, it provides us with the opportunity to engage critically with

the world around us and to develop a strong sense of integrity, an essential
aspect of any healthy society. To conclude, I learned a lot in Ethics most
especially in decision-making that I usually do in my daily living, and to
harmonized with God and with what is right to do in my life. I am grateful to
have a high quality education in this subject because for me, Ethics is more
difficult than solving math problems in terms of my course which is civil
engineering because I’m not good in determining people and adjusting to
them, and ethics make it easy for me to understand the social aspect of my
life.
