GUIDELINES IN MAKING HAZARD BROCHURE

PURPOSE: Design a brochure that can be both creative and effective. Choose a hazard from our topic.
GUIDELINES:
1. Remember that the purpose of your brochure is giving information and education to the community
about the hazard
2. Customize your brochure according to your choice. Draw your own pictures & images, do not use
Canva or cut pictures from magazines or from the Google. (Lettering can be cut-out, but the lesser
the cut-out the better)
3. Layout and Content: Decide on the layout: single-fold, bi-fold, or tri-fold. Organize your content into
sections. (Definition of the hazard, prevention or mitigating ways, what to do before, during or after
the hazard or any information that you want to give emphasis) You can also add striking phrase or
quotes.
4. Keep the design simple and visually appealing. Less clutter is often more effective.
5. Images and Graphics. Use high-quality images that relate to your message. You can incorporate
graphics, icons, and illustrations to enhance visual appeal.
6. Choose letterings that are easy to read.
7. Color Scheme: Select a color palette that aligns with your theme. Ensure good contrast between
text and background.
8. Include a clear (CTA) Call to Action: What do you want the reader to do after reading the brochure?
9. Be sure to check for spelling and grammar
10. You can now design and layout your Hazard Brochure.
