Exact terms of kinds of communication as listed in text/syllabus/taught in class

are missing in first answer. Give terms/ theory and then highlight specific
instances in which it occurs in the text provided in the exam.
- Do not answer in points, but in paragraphs.
- Do not answer questions with questions.
- Quotations are not to be italicised.
- “Girls” is a short story, so it comes in double quotes. As do titles of poems and
names of chapters in books. Only full works (books/journals) are italicised.
- Do not write words in all caps, or begin words mid sentence with capital letters
(unless proper nouns).
- The answers written in the exam need to be less wordy and much more to the point.
Long-winding answers waste time. will get the same marks. Extraneities are not
needed, you will get the same marks without them. Answer exactly the question and
address each subpart to it.
- Common mistake- ‘stanza’ for a poem and ‘paragraph’ for prose.
- Please correctly spell the names of author/characters that appear in excerpt.
