It is increasingly felt that time management skills are lacking a basic
understanding of the fundamentals of project planning, scheduling, monitoring Second Edition
and control, and this handbook strives to provide for a starting point for both
students and practicing professionals, who are seeking comprehensive resource
material for reference. Furthermore, this handbook aims to bridge the current
knowledge and application gap in professional education, training program of
engineers and architects who undertake primary responsibility at forefront of A Handbook of

It may be pertinent to also underline that numerous disputes plague the
construction projects which have roots in poorly managed project schedules.

The handbook is developed based on accumulated academic and professional
experience of practices in the Indian construction industry, and therefore aims
to supplement the knowledge and professional expertise to undertake
