Little Red Riding Hood

Characters: Narrator, Mother, Red Riding Hood, Wolf, Grandmother,


Woodcutter

Narrator: Once upon a time, Little Red Riding Hood’s mother told
her to visit her grandmother.

Mother: Your grandmother’s sick. Take this and talk to no-one on


the way. (hands Red a basket)

Red: OK! (skips off)

Wolf: Hi there! Where are you going?

Red: Granny’s.

Wolf: Go that way, it’s quicker.

Narrator: Red went that way and the wolf went to Granny’s house.

Wolf: (knocks on Granny’s door)

Granny: Who is it?

Wolf: Your granddaughter.

Granny: Come in.

Narrator: The wolf went in and ate her whole! He dressed up in


Granny’s clothes and got into her bed.

Red: (knocks on Granny’s door)

Wolf: Who is it?

Red: Red Riding Hood.

Wolf: Come in.

Narrator: Red went in.

Red: Grandmother, what big eyes you have.

Wolf: All the better to see you with.

Red: Grandmother what big ears you have.

Wolf: All the better to hear you with.

Red: Grandmother, what big teeth you have.

Wolf: All the better to EAT you with!

Narrator: And the wolf jumped out of bed and Red Riding Hood
ran away, screaming for her life. A woodcutter was
walking by.

Woodcutter: What’s all that noise? I’d better investigate.

Narrator: And she saw the wolf chasing Red and chopped him
down the middle. Granny Hood fell out and they all lived
happily ever after
