However, an interview situation may consist of one interviewer and seal interviewers and vice versa. Here, we shall discuss dynamic interviews and many of the points will be applicable to all interview situations. An interview demands direct and dynamic interaction. By its very nature the process involves an assessment of one participant by another. Sometimes one of the participants represents an organization or a group whereas the other participates in his individual capacity. One of the purpose of the interview is to elicit information which is not available from the written records or other sources. Preparing for the Interview and guidelines for success in the Interview: Here are some practical guidelines which are considered necessary for attending an interview. If you act upon them, you would have better chances of winning the race. 1. Be present well ahead of time (at least 15-20 minutes early) and wait patiently for your turn. 2. First impression is very important. Apart from being well dressed, cheerful expressions are also necessary. Walk into the room confidently and wish the interviewer. 3. Be brief and spontaneous in your responses. Speak distinctly in a pleasant tone and relaxed manner. Establish eye contact. 4. Present the relevant matter in an organized way and support your views with proper arguments, 5, Be clear about your career goals and be ready to talk about them. Be able to show how these goals mesh with your strength and background. 6. Listen carefully to the interviewers questions, statements and comments. refering to events situations and experienesss 7.
