harm to other beings. From the beginning of human history to the present day, the term violence has been considered in various economic and social formations. As such, it is a historical phenomenon influenced by many political, economic, legal, psychological and cultural factors, with irreparable consequences for the people who suffer from it, the family and society itself. Many believe that violence is due to the influence of society on young people, since they learn by observing society, whether on television, at school or at home. But there are also authors who maintain that, according to research, people have always behaved violently towards other creatures to protect themselves. Of course, the study of these forms of violence from different fields of knowledge makes it difficult not only to study them together, but also to adopt a clear and unified definition. On the other hand, this multiplicity of approaches to violence from different disciplinary fields allows both to examine violence in all its complexity and to identify more precisely its causes, the way of representing it and the dynamics or functions adopted in the different studies on violence. This essay attempts to clearly identify this tension between different authors and perspectives on whether people are born violent or become violent.Violence, a means that should already be banished in a civilized society, continues to act among us as if it were the only means, through which a few make their voices heard, while the majority, harmed, must continue to endure.Violence (in its different types) is a topic that will always give a lot to talk about, because as human beings we have a certain tendency to allow our feelings (whether negative or positive) to govern our actions. Normally violence manifests itself as a release or consequence of our negative feelings, it is rare to find it as a release or consequence of our positive feelings.
