Favourite possessions

Maria,
When I was 12, I went to Italy to visit my grandparents. It was the first time I’d been
away on my own so everything was really exciting. They live in Venice so they took
me to Murano one day and they bought me a small glass bottle to remind me of my
trip. It doesn’t look very special as it’s very simple but I love it.
Simon
I never win any prizes for my schoolwork but there is one thing I’m good at and that’s
swimming. I practise every day before school and every weekend too. Last year I
was in the national under-16 team and we came first so my favourite possession is
the gold cup I won!
Lisa
My mother bought me a pair of red shoes a couple of years ago and I just love them.
I always wear them when I have exams and I know it sounds crazy but they bring me
good luck. My friends laugh at me but I think my shoes are special.
