UNCOUNTABLE AND PLURAL NOUNS

Megacities are enormous agglomerations, which give home to millions of people.

It is predicted that in the future most of humanity will be living in big cities, that
come with their advantages and disadvantages. In such a city you will have every
possible form of entertainment such as: theaters, cinemas, bars etc. at your
doorstep. You won’t have to travel to another city to go for an opera for instance,
but the downside is that the travel time might not change. In such cities there will
be massive traffic, which will increase your time spent in a car. What’s more
increased traffic will cause more pollution which will be bad for your health.
Another thing to consider about megacities is accommodation. Because the
density of population is extremely big in such cities, the property prices are
skyrocketing, which makes it difficult to find an affordable place to live for people
from lower and medium class. What’s more if the class difference is big, slums will
create on the outskirts of the megacity. All in all I don’t agree with the given
statement, I much more prefer to live in the countryside. The scenery is beautiful
there and you also get a lot of fresh air.
