Tanítanék Movement was launched in 2016.

Since then, we have

organized several mass events, protests, and joint actions, while raised
a strike fund for our community.

In 2022, a major national coalition for education has been forged. We

have succeeded in making education an inescapable issue in public
opinion. And the government was forced to recognize the need for
intervention.

Tanítanék is working to make teachers' advocacy as complete and

organized as possible, and to reach everyone!

We aim for a fair and equitable education system, that provides equal
opportunity to all students to develop skills and knowledge that will help
them contribute to society. We seek policies that grant both students and
teachers an efficient and accessible education system.
Hungarian teachers currently earn the least of all OECD countries.
Meanwhile, thousands of teachers are missing from our education
system. The first step to reducing the teacher shortage is to raise wages.
Moreover, we seek the reorganization of our education system. In order
to bring about change, we aim for the government to withdraw the
provisions of the Public Education Act that restrict teachers' right to
strike.
